First person scares (4 more)
Amazing graphics
Clever A.I
Intriguing story
Really challenging boss fights
Scary stuff
So I have been play this for while.
Totally love the game, one of the best Resident Evils I have played. The graphics and SFX set a very tense atmosphere. The graphics in particular are very crisp and it almost looks real. This is true for Baker family and other Humans you meet.
Monsters less look realistic in comparison. Though do give great jump scare. Not sure on their official name but I call the "Venomites", The tall tendrily creatures that the Bakers seem to have are creepy as hell.
The puzzles are you standard Resident Evil fare, which is good and really enjoyable for fans of the older entries in particular.
The boss fights are something else, So far I fought Ma & Pa Baker. These were tough to beat. Using a lot of different attacks to keep you guessing. No QTEs, just good old wits, skill and hoping your ammo does not run out.
I particularly like the story, keeps you guessing and wondering if and how this fits into the rest of Resident Evil universe.
I recommend this to anyone who loves a good scary game. Just maybe don't play before bed.

It cost a fortune to heat this place
A treasury plane carrying a 100 million dollars is attempted to be hijacked in flight ends up dumping 3 cases worth of cash in the mountains in Colorado. The team of Hijackers (lithgow) are stranded and can't even fathom on how to look for the money call for help from mountain rescue played by Stallone and Rooker. It ends of being a race on who gets to the money to either steal or prevention of getting it. Lots of action and I great scary opening that sets the pace for the movie.

You want a book that will evoke an emotional response? Then [Sadie Sapiens] by [Jeff Bauer] is it. If this book does not cause you to cry, laugh, and want to hurt someone you must be some kind of scary person.
The story of a special bond between a dog and her human takes you on twists and turns. It shows the good of humanity as well as the dark side. Mostly it shows the importance of loving your pack, (aka family), those created by blood and choice.
Now I must go converse with my cats.

Promising premise but poor execution
A horror film based on a real life suicide forest in Japan sounds like it's made to succeed, but sadly The Forest doesn't deliver.
Natalie Dormer is alright as the lead and she does fairly well, the problem is she doesn't have much to work with. The film isn't particular scary and I feel they could have done so much more to raise the fear factor instead of throwing in some obligatory and obvious jump scares. The ending was quite good and actually fairly unexpected, but parts of it were a little silly.

Well developed characters (1 more)
Strong plot
A thoroughly good read. It’s got the apocalyptic future, suspense, super scary moments and a main character you’re totally rooting for to succeed. There is a part that threw me...he meets a cult in the tunnels and they sound so much like the Jehovah’s Witnesses I did a double take. They call their ‘churches’ the Hall of the Kingdom, JWs call them Kingdom Halls. There is a sermon given that could have been read straight from one of their brochures, got me wondering if the author used to be a JW or studied with them.

I ended up reading this one to just myself. My girls aren't into zombies much yet and were more interested in playing, but I am planning to read it to them soon. So this review is my own :) I enjoyed this one, I wasn't sure because I'm not big on zombies and especially for kids. However, this was so well written that it wasn't scary and it was very interesting story. I enjoy how much she grew up through the story and became less annoying lol. It was a sweet read and I am glad I got to review it.

A dark forest is scary! I definitely spooked myself out while reading this book. I couldn't put it down either. If you read it without looking too far for answers, it will keep you quite entertained. I had to read with the lights on for part of it. What a creepy story with creepy characters. It was a bit aggravating with the main character's personality. It had to be that way for the story to work. But I was disappointed in it. Otherwise, I would have given 5 stars. Ruth Ware knows how to do suspense!
