Ok early Slasher film
One of the early 80's Slasher films featuring Scream Queen Jamie Lee Curtis just after she did @Prom Night (2008)
It's actually not that bad for a Slasher film of the time. A few years after pulling a prank on a medical student a bunch of students celebrate New Year's Eve with a costume party aboard a steam train. A lot of the time it doesn't feel like much of a Slasher film, the body count is quite low and the with not a lot of gore. The setting of the film is different and the train adds to the film quite well with the confined spaces. Also featuring David Copperfield. The plot is OK as the killer dons different costumes and there is a surprise as well. Overall a decent 80's slasher film worth checking out. Currently on Amazon prime.

Good cast
A mix of Slasher /thriller
Cracking serial killer thriller
Don't trust the critic reviews! This is a very enjoyable thriller, set in an amazing remote location. It has a strong cast and mixes up the thriller / Slasher genre slightly. If you have not seen it yet check it out.

Just seen this has the same director as @I Know What You Did Last Summer (1997) which explains the Slasher feel.

Another classic early slasher before it was even a sub genre. Directed by the same man who did A Christmas Story.

Watched on netflix it's not bad movie for a movie made in Poland. basically it has plot that's been done like numerous times during the eighties slasher boom even down to some of the kills. Obviously the makers were fans of slasher movies and it shows and I liked the movie alot

A good Slasher series
I can't think of any other serious attempts at making a series of the Slasher genre, I've not seen the Scream one yet. This has a good go at it. Only 8 episodes long. It has a striking masked killer bumping people off in a variety of gory ways in a small town. There are some good twists but some plot lines felt a bit silly. Definitely one for the Slasher fans to check out.

Quite an odd slasher film as most of the deaths are made to look like accidents, but it has a shock ending!

Not scary at all and at times quite funny. Has all the usual stuff for a modern day slasher, but poor overall.

A low budget Horror that tries to create an 80's Slasher vibe with mixed results. Although the cast is fairly recognisable.

I just watched an amazing film Minutes Past Midnight. Totally underground horror anthology kind of like The A,B,C's of Death series... It was cool. AND FOR GOD'S SAKE watch Charlie's Farm and The Final Girls.... Awesome stuff

House of the Devil (2009) is a long-time favorite of mine. Set in the early 1980s, it oozes a that era's slasher-horror mood and feel
