This is the penultimate book in Jack Campbell (pen-name of Jon Geary) 'Lost Fleet' series, with the Alliance fleet nearing their home border with the Syndics. The very start of this novel is actually set 100 years previous, before 'Black Jack' Geary is rescued from survival sleep before the very start of the first book in the series: "Dauntless".

If you've read the others in the series, you prety much know what to expect: 'real-time' space battles, political machinations, and a sub-plot involving traiters within the fleet ...

Great for CBR/CBZ files
Downloadable comics
A great app for digital comic books!
Comixology is a great app for comic book readers. I know most comic book fans like myself enjoy hard copies, but digital comics are excellent for saving space, and comixology is most likely the most popular digital comic app.

As I said, it's easy to use, can import CBR/CBZ files, and you can download comics straight from them. The digital comics seem a bit costly for digital copies, but I think I'm just old fashioned in that respect!

Star Wars: Episode VIII - The Last Jedi (2017)
2017 | Action, Sci-Fi
By far the most divisive of the Star Wars movies, this is one of those films that I tend to enjoy while watching, but later come away with a whole host of problems. Such as:

How can Rey be so powerful with no training?
What, Princess (or General) Leia doing Peter Pan in space (may not have been so bad if there had been any indication she knew/was trained in how to use the Force)
The world slowest Lightspeed chase
What is the point of the Canto Bight excursion?

and, not forgetting,

The way Laura incorporates comedy with Izzys dialog to get through uncomfortable moments is so on point. It's hilarious and real while tackling real issues that today's teens have to deal with while trying to grow up and find themselves and their place in the world. In this book Izzy really comes into her own and finds that space while rallying to help others also be able to be teenagers doing stupid things because we all have. It was a good conclusion with an open ending for Izzy.
