It must be strange being in [a: Chuck Wendig|17152|Chuck Wendig|https://d.gr-assets.com/authors/1294919586p2/17152.jpg]'s shoes when he was given the green-light to write this novel.

Not so much for what the novel is (a Star Wars book), but for what it isn't (the first in the 'new' non-EU canon).

I imagine there would have been both a feeling of freedom in that he is no longer tied down to making sure everything 'fits', as well as a feeling of responsibility as some of that old EU stuff was quite well regarded.

Regardless, this is set after the events of 'Return of the Jedi', but before the new 'The Force Awakens', and is the first in a series of novels leading up to that movie that should (hopefully) fill in the gaps in that movie. While Luke didn't make an appearance in this, there are some old returning characters: most noticeably Wedge Antilles, who provides the MacGuffin that gets the whole plot rolling!

It may not be the best Star Wars book I've read (sorry), but it does do a serviceable job in getting the ball rolling again.

Bad Camera
This third-person shooter game was one of my favorite GameCube games of all time. Lucasarts put out a few great Star Wars games in the 1990s and 2000s, and this was one of them.

Original actor Temuera Morrison again supplied the voice of Jango who is probably one of the coolest prequel characters.

The adventure and shooting enemies was great fun and kept me engaged for hours and hours. Unfortunately, rotating the camera, especially in tight spaces was a big negative.

Leads up to episode 9 well
This movie is not as good as the previous two Disney has released but still a very good movie. The fight scenes are very good. There are still alot of questions left for episode 9. It can get to comedic at times but it does lighten the mood for the longest movie in the series. Just like every Star Wars movie I will be seeing this one multiple times in the theater and the purchasing it when it is released on Blu Ray

Star Wars: Before the Awakening by Greg Rucka is a collection of 3 shorter stories, one each about Finn, Rey, and Poe that more or less leads up to The Force Awakens movie. While neither is reliant on needing knowledge of the other (if you've seen the movie, for instance, you don't need to read the book), the book does flesh out a little background on the characters before we're introduced to them in the movie, so if you like the movie, I'd say this would be a great companion piece to read.

This book is to Fifty Shades as Spaceballs is to Star Wars and Scary Movie is to Scream. It is a witty, satirical look at the Fifty Shades trilogy with plenty of Twilight references thrown in for good measure. If you are among the readers that didn't take Fifty Shades too seriously to begin with, then you will love this book. A light, entertaining read with loads of fun 80's pop culture references that will keep you laughing from beginning to end.

Looking forward to reading the sequel, Fifty Shames in Space.

Anyone follow Box Office Mojo? Great place to get all the latest box office info.

Looks like March mostly was a dismal failure with A Wrinkle in Time, Pacific Rim 2, Tomb Raider and even Ready Player One turning out to be disappointments.

If you are a non Star Wars/Marvel property, things are not looking good for you.

The only pleasant surprise lately (other than Black Panther of course) has been the new Jumanji. Who would've thought film would have done over $400 million in the US alone.

What do you think?

Fun game for super hero fans
Strike force is a fun game where the player collects Marvel heroes and villains and battles with teams of five characters to level up and gain new characters. It’s almost exactly the same game as Star Wars Heroes and Disney Heroes (all three from Disney). This game allows you to auto play a level you’ve already beat without losing a team member automatically to farm supplies without using some sort of ticket, which saves a lot of time.

Better than expected...solo
Solo follows a young Han Solo, who is trying to escape his current life of thievery and run away with his girlfriend.
Things look to be going young Solo's way until thing quickly go south.
Vowing to make things right, he collides with an angry Chewbacca & before cementing his position as a member of a team of renegades.
This film turned out better than expected, didn't fail to feel like a star wars story and gave a good insight into Han solo's past.

Stunning VFX as always, decent story.

Solo was amazing! I loved it! Aside from a few cheesy Empire lines, which what do you expect from those Empire folks, I thought it was a great story with an outstanding cast and put together wonderfully. One aspect that really made it great to watch was a lot of the make-up and effects felt more practical and less cheap cgi, which is why out of the newer Star Wars movies I love Rogue One and Solo. A really fun and great movie I definitely suggest seeing.
