Decent Horror
An ok Horror based on a short Stephen King story. Definitely has the hallmarks of a Stephen King creation. Very atmospheric in the first half, creepy while playing on the fear of those dark spaces when the lights are out. The creature, when you finally see it, does look scary. Although I think most will spot early on some clues as to how it will pan out. A few too many jump scares as well, most of which you can see coming. Still an enjoyable film overall.

The last book in the True Colors series is called "The Scarlet Pen." What a story it told. Though at first, you might think about what is going on. Why would parents be concerned for their daughter and not allow her to marry her friend?

We meet a young woman and her sweet talk lover Stephen. But will they end up getting married, or will Emma finally see what is going on with their beloved and find true love? We seem to follow Stephen's journey from his marriage proposal to a young woman to his eventful capture.

There a young man on horseback comes to visit and do some business. As the twist and turns show up. Something happens to make Stephen and his friend jump town; Stephen tries to keep Emma at bay and in the dark. Clay seems to want to help and protect her. Emma seems to want to defend Stephen. Why is that?

There seems to be a trail of banknotes that keep leading back to Stephen and connecting to Emma. Will Emma confront a man that may harm her and possibly kill her. Or will someone come and save her.

Who is this serial killer? Why is he doing it? Clay seems to get hints and information and then loses Richards while he is on the run. Will they all make it out safe? Will Stephen get caught, or will he run free. I felt terrible for the family that brings Clay to face the past that happened to him and his family.

The True Color series is a favorite of mine. The books are set in history and tell about true American crimes and have some fiction. These books are great for historical fiction fans and crime fans as well. This one has quite a few killings but not too much detail of the gruesome deaths. Enough to know how it happened. The stories transpire based on actual crimes in American history, but there is some friction that the author brings up in the book.

Interesting Read
I have enjoyed Stephen King's books for a long time now so I was eager to read this book that he wrote with his son Owen who is also a talented writer. The premise for the book is quite interesting and the story being told from the perspective of the different characters in the book is well done. There are a lot of familiar Stephen King themes, but there is a lot of Owen King in here too.
I liked the book, but I felt the story ran a little longer than it should and the ending itself is rather disappointing. There are a few places where it didn't really feel like a Stephen King book, but I still liked the story. It is an interesting read which is not necessarily a bad thing, but it is not as strong as previous King novels.

Another great, suspenseful novel from Stephen King!
I always get excited when a new Stephen King novel comes out, and this was no exception.
A boy is horribly murdered, mutilated and sexually assaulted, and a man is very publicly arrested - it's obvious to the police that he is the perpetrator. Lots of people saw him: from picking up the boy, to being seen after the act, covered in blood. Of course, this is Stephen King, so it's not that simple.
The characters are fantastic - easy to relate to, and Detective Ralph Anderson is especially good (in my opinion). I do like a man who can admit they're wrong and then actually DO something to rectify their mistakes.
What I like about King, is how he can make the supernatural seem so, well, natural. It all seems perfectly plausible, which makes it all the more terrifying.
Another fantastic novel from King, and I would highly recommend it!

Probably the most loved film ever!
Ask most people their favourite film and this will be the most mentioned. Great story of over coming hardship and being better for it. A very emotional film.

This is something of a parallel universe re-telling of Desperation by Stephen King, and pales in comparison to that, though it is interesting to see how Desperation would have panned out if King had been in a different mood when he started writing.

Overall I LOVE LOVE LOVED it. What irritated me was the fact that everyone said it was SOOOOOOO original. If you read Stephen King, their are some very similar story elements and plot points.

I've read this book so many times. I'm not sure whether the tips draw me in or Stephen talking about his thought processes behind some of his books. Either way, a fantastic read for anyone who would like insight into how a writer thinks.
