the poems on grief are stunning, heartfelt and heartbreaking: they have real resonance & are definitely what i'll take away from reading this book (3 more)
some beautiful concepts
structural experimentation (although some elements are overused)
sweet & reassuring in places
i don't know if i've read too many poems of this style but some of the poems in this collection felt a little unoriginal or repetitive (1 more)
i should have read this book when i was younger: i feel like it would have a much larger impact on a slightly younger audience, maybe 15-17 year girls

I get that this book is not for everyone, and I can see how it would be enjoyable to some (sort of), but personally I thought that this book was twice as long as it needed to be, was hugely over descriptive, was slow and I just didn't get it.
It was a dragged out story of a journey from one place to another where nothing really that interesting happens...
Unless you are into the Hobbit/Lord of the Rings style books/films etc, I would strongly recommend that you don't read this.

Yes this does kinda add up to The Karate Kid for the Youtube generation, with an MTV makeover. This time using MMA basically like UFC, cage fighting using any fighting style. Despite the obvious plot and seeing this type of film more than a few times, this is pretty decent. It has a strong cast and the fight scenes are well shot. There is an extra on the DVD to get each of the fights in the film broken down into how they were filmed etc which is pretty good.

See like a vampire?
Illustrated in the colours that the vampires of this graphic novel can see, Red, Black and white dominate the wood print style images. No to everyone's preference, and it does tire the eyes after a while of reading, the story starts off humorously but does seem to find it difficult to go further than that, not finding its place successfully throughout the remainder of this Graphic novel. A shame as I think it all had potential.

Beautiful animation (3 more)
Wonderful story
Thought out characters
Great gameplay
In shock
I started playing this game and was a little skeptical. I had heard great things about it, but I thought they were over exaggerating. They definitely weren't. The storyline, characters, and animation style work together to create a game that I couldn't stop playing until I was done. So much dialogue! So much character development! And then a twist at the end that left me in shock. If you haven't played it yet, give it a try!

Always the last few pages
This book, like all others by this author, is a page turner...once you get into the story. This one took me way longer than usual to get hooked. Based on the style of the past books written by Coben, the ending was not a surprise in the least. All of his books are worth reading, this one was more flat than some of the others.

Each book starts exactly where the last one finished, which is great as there is no need for a re cap and fits perfectly with the diary style of writing.
Keatyn is really staring to grow as a person and you can begin to see her as an adult not just a spoilt child like she appeared at first.
You will continue to be annoyed by the boys in Keatyn’s like as at times they all seem like idiots and that she shouldn’t chose them. Although I am 100% for Aiden.

I found this one on Amazon. It's a haunted house style "horror" movie. The acting is pretty weak and the story is not scary or anything even remotely close to it. The cinematography is mediocre. It's about a pregnant woman who keeps having strange things happen in her new house and no one else does or believes her and they tell her she's crazy. They have one character try to explain things toward the end of the movie but it's an extremely weak explanation. Overall this movie just isn't very good. NOT worth a watch.
