This isn’t a movie for little kids. It IS PG-13 for a reason. The opening scene is enough that I would never want my young child to see it. But if I had a teenager it would be fun to watch and see their reaction to watching that scene with their parent.
The acting was actually pretty good, though the angst with the girls was a bit much, the guys were fantastic. And they upgraded all of the special effects, and one of the things that I appreciated the most was the fact that the outfits actually ended up looking gender neutral. Mostly because they made the guys look like they were wearing bras. I mean, look at this! From straight on they could both be female. They even reference at the end of the movie how no one can tell that the girls are girls.
Overall, as someone who grew up with this series, they did a great job!
(And thank you for the cameo!)

Perry Larkin (8 KP) rated Rainbow by Kesha in Music
Dec 12, 2017
I wasn't sold on this album by my first listen, but with time every song grows on you as a favorite. Watching Kesha live really sold me a few songs I didn't understand. Learning that her mom is also a songwriter and that they wrote songs like Hymn together to talk about how Kesha felt growing up as an outsider gives a new appreciation. Praying is the anthem she needed to tell the world how she feels still waiting to triumph over her struggles. In a time of the "me too" wave, let's all just put on the song Woman and blast it. Boots and Boogie Feet are the songs a Kesha fan is looknig for when they want to shake it out and hit the dance floor. Learn To Let Go is also another anthem in Kesha's struggles, but it speaks to everyone for any daily pain or major life obstacle. Thank You Kesha, Rainbow in my top three albums of the year.
Alison Pink (7 KP) rated Stolen: A Letter to My Captor in Books

This book tells the story of Gemma, a 16 year old girl who is taken from a coffee shop in Bangkok airport by a mysterious guy. Part of her recognizes him which is why she agrees to approach him in the first place. That's when the horror & beauty of her captivity begins.
The book is written as a letter to Ty which the reader is not really, entirely able to tell until the very last pages. It is an interesting concept and a very easy read. There is wonderful description throughout the book. The author does a great job getting Gemma's emotions across... emotions that are all over the place. Sometimes they have you feeling awful for her & sometimes even for Ty.
My biggest issue with this book was the ending. It just leaves you hanging & I hate that!! I don't want to say much more & ruin it because it is worth the read.

Sherlock Holmes-
This game leads you through the twists and turns of a Sherlock Holmes. Murder mystery. You start each case reading an introduction which out lines a mystery. Then you control the investigation deciding what locations to visit. As you find clues or red herrings, you must decide why you have all the pieces of the puzzle. Then comes the best part. Once you have decided what happened you open the question envelope what you know or don't and how many locations you visited will determine your score. Then finally Sherlock himself will tell you how he solved the case makinging you grone as you can't believe you missed on clue or another.
This game is a great gateway for non gamers and a brilliant way to spend an afternoon or evening.
10 mysteries in the box 20+ hours for your money. A group of 4-5 players. But it's a great game for 1 or more amateur detectives.

Outstanding. Brilliant.
Wow. One, why haven’t I read this book sooner? Two, I cannot believe this is her debut novel at all, I could not tell it was that brilliant. Very impressed. I love the cover of this story too, magical. I also loved how the story was told through short chapters, including letters and clues. Made it an easy, fast paced read I didn’t want to finish.
I cannot wait to see what lies ahead in the sequel (Legendary). I can honestly say I have not read anything similar to this story before and I absolutely loved it! I awarded a well deserved five stars and already know it is going to be in my top 20 of 2018. A must buy and read from me. I would love to see this book turned into a film. It will mess with the readers head in parts but remember… It’s only a game

Characters are full and detailed. (1 more)
Story is heartfelt and relatable.
Great wrestling movie.
Been looking forward to this one and I wasn't disappointed. Granted, I have to say I'm a bit biased as a wrestling diehard. But, this movie is great. Paige and her family are full, detailed characters. You can relate from the onset. Sure, the story is a bit corny and many details and events are glossed over, but it's a story about family and the dream of being a professional wrestler. It fits perfectly with the subject matter. Like wrestling, we don't need all the deep details. You just tell a great story and get the audience to feel something. Which is what this movie does. Is it the next Best Picture Oscar winner? No. But it truly is a glorious tale of the importance of family and never giving up on your dreams.
