I really enjoyed the book. It was well rounded for a short story. Basically, without going into too much detail it’s the story of a fisherman who finds a pearl that changes beyond recognition and shows the evil and greed that jealousy causes. Even though you get a sense early on that it won’t end well for Kino and Juana, the last page is a shocker.

Basically, this collection of comics were repetitive stories about some of the heroes from the era of the Republic. Qui-Gon's was mildly interesting.
The only thing that this seemed to add, was that, shocker, at least one of Padme's handmaidens were aware of Anakin and Padme's relationship. I never thought that would have to be confirmed, but there it is.

This can definitely be skipped.

BookReporter.com says, "Action? Check." Very true. It was pretty action packed. "Suspense? By the carload." Fact, the suspense, twists, and turns just kept coming. "Romance? Yes." Now I know why their answer is so vague and only one word - anything that could be considered romance occurs before the 11th chapter (and these were some short chapters!). "Erotica? Let's just say that it's not limited to the cover." Error, error! What Patterson has written couldn't even touch the average erotica novel - I've written more erotic scenarios. I know erotica isn't James' forte and it didn't take away from the story, I was just disappointed in this part of BookReporter's review. I can tell you I never would have predicted the ending and there was no way I could have foreseen some of the shocking revelations within the book. It's shocker after shocker. Once again, Patterson has managed to write another brilliant suspense!

I really like this album. I was teased that this was supposed to be like early 00's AM, but what a shocker - it wasn't. However, I was not disappointed. I think this mix of 'nightmare lounge' with Turner's strong vocals really makes a catchy yet chill album full of depth.

Wow, wow, wow! This book was very gripping! I loved the way the main characters had their own points of view as chapters. The whole plot was amazing. I can not think of one bad thing to say about this book. I'm definitely going to give Heather Gudenkauf's other books a read now as I believe she is a brilliant writer. This book is so emotional, and I would've never guessed the gunman's identity at the end. What a shocker!

Brutal
A very good film...in the end and a bit odd as well. The first 20mins I found very slow and dull. I was worried this could be a low budget shocker that was over hyped. Once the film got going though it is pretty relentless until the end. The violence is very brutal, gritty and disturbing. For once in a film it was quite realistic. The only down side was the twist towards the end which left many questions unanswered. Maybe a film that needs to be watched more than once to get a better understanding of it. Overall a good British thriller that will last long in the memory after viewing.

I'm going to start with a shocker: I'd never actually read Robert Louis Stevenson's classic before.

Oh, I was familiar with the story - who isn't? - but as for actually reading the novel? Nope.

Indeed, the closest I had ever come was screen adaptations of it, with The Muppets version in particular springing to mind! As such, I never really had the inclination to go to the source material - after all, I've seen it, so why read it?

However, I finally got round to actually doing so in late 2013 and, you know what? I did actually quite enjoy it!

I'm aware that it started the whole buried treasure/peg-legged Pirates genre of stories, and now I know why :)
