This is very much a film that you should have appropriate expectations for. It's a Dwayne Johnson movie about a world changing disaster. If you watch it with that expectation, good job! You're going to have a fine time. If you watch it expecting it to be a cinematic masterpiece, don't waste your time just so you can complain later. Allow yourself to enjoy the movie for exactly what it claims it is. Nothing more.

"These are so raw — this is who I am, these movies. [Laughs] They’re very girly. In no particular order… Love Actually. Most of these movies have British accents in them, because, being from England, there’s something about films that I watch that have a British accent that I just feel so at home with. That film I can watch any day and it makes me smile; and I love Christmas, so it kind of matches perfectly."

"What would be my number four? I don’t know if I’ve ever gotten that far in my categorizing of films. Maybe 2001 by Stanley Kubrick. It’s a film I saw early on with my father that had a really profound effect on me. That movie, I think, is pretty amazing filmmaking. And to see it at a young age — I remember going with my dad to watch it. It was a very, very profound film to watch."

"Dr. Strangelove, I got to revisit recently. My daughters, obviously, said, “Well, Pop, what film should we watch?” It’s been an eye opener. You name one of your favorite films, and then you sit down and watch it with them and, “It’s no good! It’s really dated and slow.” Oh, my God. Like, I pushed Airplane on them. I said, “Funniest movie ever made.” Well, there’s funny bits in it, but it’s hard to sit through now."

Without a doubt one of the best documenties on 80s horror till I watch the sequel which I will as I grew up on 80s horror thru vhs and late night tv as a teenager seeing the actors and film makers talk about the movies they made during the 80s even with running time of almost 4 and half hours long. I highly recommend this doc as a must watch for anyone who loves 80s horror.

Nice easy watch
I find this a nice easy watch when I have gone brain dead in the evening after a manic day and do not want to concentrate on an actual programme or documentary. It makes me feel a bit better about my awful cake decorating skills - it's always good to see your not the only one who is not so good.

I loved this show from the 1st episode. Seeing what Hannah went through and her relationships with different people was great. You end up feeling for Hannah and feeling what she goes through. It kept me hooked with some shockers along the way. Would definitely recommend to anyway wanting a new series to watch. You will want to binge watch it.

I'm always curious to watch a documentary about filmmakers and their craft. This documentary was very interesting to watch. I've seen two Miyazaki films and three Studio Ghibli films. It was very interesting to see a little bit of the men behind the films. The way that they think and the way that they act. I don't think that The Kingdom of Dreams and Madness was the best doc I've watched, but it was interesting nonetheless.

Despite an intriguing premise - basically, Sleeping Beauty from the Evil Fairy's point of view - and Angelina Jolie (with cheekbones so sharp you could cut yourself) in the lead as Maleficent - said evil Fairy Queen - this is a somewhat insipid retelling of the tale, that just (ironically) never really takes flight at all.

Maybe worth a watch (Jolie is always good value for money) on occasion, but not one that I'd be rushing back to re-watch.
