"I’ve always been a fan of Moulin Rouge. That’s one of those films I watch over and over. You know, just the epitome of a love story, done in such a beautiful way. I love music, and just the combination of the music and how they did it; you can’t beat that."

"My heart explodes every time I watch this film. I love how Hulot interacts with all the frivolous things that collide with him, like an ape in Space Odyssey. Tati’s weird parody of modern technology ends up romanticizing every little object with the slightest touch of his style. Childish, dense, and extremely watchable."

"Then you could cut away from films like that and say a film like Zulu, with Stanley Baker and Michael Caine. It’s just a film that, no matter where you pick it up — like the first two — you have to keep watching. I think I watch that film three times a year."

"What’s left to be said about The Third Man? Quite a bit, actually—as evidenced by the multiple Criterion commentaries on this edition, one featuring filmmakers Steven Soderbergh and Tony Gilroy, the other with historian Dana Polan. I could watch this movie, and its supplements, on a loop for days without going cuckoo."

"This is the DVD where they splice the performance with them driving their cars around and stuff. There’s really cool vignettes and some people in bands doing acting when they really shouldn’t be acting, which is great to watch. It makes it even better, because we all enjoy watching people who can’t act."

"Three Days of the Condor just seems to be one of those films that, if I’m flipping around the channels late at night and I land on that one, I just can’t shut if off — you just have to watch that whole journey with Robert Redford and Faye Dunaway. It’s so good."

"Another movie with layers of deception and truth and dreams and reality, and everything is just so interwoven. The plot was intricate, but intricate in an amazing way. You can’t just sit there and watch this movie. You have to be engrossed, sort of taken with it. I love those kinds of movies."

This movie was more entertaining than I expected. Decent acting all around. Really good cinematography and some pretty cool effects. The monster was definitely creepy. Some predictable parts and a few jump scares but that's pretty much true of most "horror" movies anymore. Overall a very good creature feature. Worth a watch.

A for effort. Skyscraper was full of action and decent effects that we've come to expect from Dwayne Johnson movies. However, the plot was very thin and predictable. It was still a fun watch to kill the time on a plane, but I'm glad I didn't waste money seeing it in the theater.
