What the What?
I understand that this is a low budget somewhat of a rip off of Transformers, but I have seen similar movies like this and some of them are pretty good. Transmorphers however is not one of them. I think this movie is more of a showcase for modeling off the actors. The women were very attractive in this movie and some of the guys were pretty boys. The plot is aliens in robots trying to take over the worldđ. A group if military personnel get together to try and stop them. They enlist the help of a disgraced solider named Warren Mitchell to help stop them. I will say this that it was pretty cool that Mitchell finds out he is an android with human feelings. If this type of movie is your thing, you may like this movie. But as a big sci fi fan, I did not like this movie. Big thumbs down from me

Will Trent and his partner Faith Mitchell are in the emergency room of Grady Hospital. Faith had just passed out. As they are there a woman is brought into the emergency room. She had been held captive, raped, tortured and then hit by a car. Together, Will and Faith try to find out who this woman is and where she came from. Most importantly who did this to her and are there others.
This is the first book I have read by Karin Slaughter. I am hooked already. I will be going back now to read the first two Will Trent books so I can get a better grasp of who this man is.
No one believes he is a cop. He is too quiet and gets down on himself too easily. I guess he doesn't have that cop ego(that's why I like him).
My main motivation for reading this book was to prepare for a Q&A Karin Slaughter will be doing on April 8th. If interested in joining the discussion, join the group A Good Thriller. I'm already filling with questions to ask.
This is the first book I have read by Karin Slaughter. I am hooked already. I will be going back now to read the first two Will Trent books so I can get a better grasp of who this man is.

This is the first time I hearing this author and I will want to read more of her books.
I love how this author wrote the main character Jillian to have imperfection as this makes me feel that she is amazing character and she lucky she survived the traumatic event. Also some stories can have the female main character to look flawless and I like how Jennifer L. Armentrout wrote it differently. Brock Mitchell never notice that Jillian loved him since he came through the door when he tried stealing from her families business. But the traumatic event what happened to Jillian with a stranger with a gun Brock felt guilt that he didn't took her to her car and just let her walk alone with this happening they decided to go their separate ways.
Jillian is offered the General Manager Assistant at her family business so she feels she can do this and its in her blood but she wondering who is the General Manager. When she comes to work she realise it is Brock Mitchell she wants to run away and find another job. When Brock first sees her after a long time being apart he realise the little girl he use to know as grown into a beautiful women and she takes hes breath away.
Jillian pushes their problems aside and starts working but this means they need to work together and the chemistry between each other becomes red-hot and Brock can't get her out hes mind. But will this go any further then just flirting? As their past resurfaces and web of lies threatens to rip them apart.
Will there be a happy ever after?

While browsing Audible one day for an audiobook to listen to, I stumbled upon Spare Room by Dreda Say Mitchell. The book synopsis instantly had me hooked, and I knew I had to listen to this book. I ended up liking Spare Room very much!
Lisa is a young women with some psychological problems. However, she is determined to make it on her own without relying on her parents. When she spots an ad in the newspaper for a spare room in London for a great price, she inquires about the room and ends up living there. After finding a suicide note in her room, Lisa decides to find out more about this man while trying to figure out her own murky past. However, all this will place Lisa in grave danger.
The plot for Spare Room was highly interesting and written very well. Mitchell did a fantastic job at making it easy to transport readers into the setting. I felt like I was with Lisa every step of the way. The pacing, for the most part, is decent, and I found myself having to know more. There were a few spots were the pacing slowed, but for the most part, this book had a lot of action. I had to know more about Lisa's past. There were times I was questioning whether Lisa was sane horrific things happen to her or if she was just losing her mind. There were quite a few plot twists. Some were predictable, but others, I never saw coming. All of my questions were answered by the end of the book, and there were no cliff hangers which I was happy about.
The characters in Spare Room all felt realistic and like they were real people instead of characters in a novel. Mitchell did such a great job of breathing life into each individual character. Lisa was such a complex woman. I admired her tenacity to find out the truth at all costs even when she had everything going against her. Her determination was fierce, and she never let anyone get in her way. Alex was a sweetheart, and I loved how caring he was towards Lisa and how much he helped her out. Lisa's parents cared for Lisa, it was obvious, but I found myself wishing they would go about helping Lisa in better ways. Martha and Jack were fantastic! I always found myself not trusting Martha even though she came across as completely innocent to begin with, and I was always wondering if Jack really was as bad as Lisa thought he was. Patsy was probably my favorite character. That old woman reminded me of my grandma a lot of the time.
The narration, done by Kristin Atherton, was pretty good for the most part. I felt like Atherton started out the beginning of the book a bit flat, but she quickly got better. Her accents and voice changes for different characters were fantastic especially for the characters of Jack and Patsy.
Trigger warnings for Spare Room include violence, animal murder, attempted murder, murder, suicide, alcohol, some sex (though not graphic), profanity, and gas-lighting.
All in all, Spare Room weaves an interesting story with a fantastic cast of characters that will suck you right into their world. I would definitely recommend Spare Room by Dreda Say Mitchell to everyone aged 16+ who loves a great solid story.

Where do I begin? ⌠Bare with me here. Spare Room is a rollercoaster of a read, it totally messed with my mind! This book actually blew me away⌠Wow.
Everyone has their secrets in this story⌠But the truth will shock you. Not everything is as it seems⌠I did not expect anything that got thrown at me during this read. Chilling, dark and creepy.
Main Character Lisa is facing her own personal issues throughout, but I actually felt scared, sorry and fightened for her. Half way through this book is a major PLOT TWIST that actually had me holding my breathe and screaming WHAT! WOAH! EXPLAIN!!!
Ex boyfriend Alex is the perfect gentleman throughout, heâs friendly, caring and I just loved his character. Jack and Martha, now this had me changing my mind about their characters all the way through. Are they a nasty, evil couple? Or just a normal happy couple who Lisa has misjudged wrongly.
With all that went on in this book I devoured it in two days. This is the first book I have read by Dreda Say Mitchell and it wont be my last, very impressed. With an explosive, in your face ending like that you can cue me having a lie down and book hangover after thisâŚ
I think itâs only fair to award a five star rating and a place in my top twenty reads of 2019 ALREADY. I know. Shocking. Highly recommend. You will not regret reading this one.

good, but not great.

Four stories, of men coming together when they need each other the most.
Sammi is running away from being a sex slave, can Mitchell keep him safe?
Brian and Rush have chemistry, and they haven't even touched, but can Rush step out of the dark for Brian?
Edward is in town to visit his grandmother. The Chief of Police, Jack, is so NOT his type. So why is he drawn so badly to the man?
After a homophobic attack, Phillip finds himself taken in by Brian and Rush, and Phillip can only hope to have the kind of relationship they do.
For the most part, I did enjoy these four books, but maybe reading them back to back wasn't the best idea.
The general plot lines are very similar, and some dialogue is repaeted, particularly in the final book, when ALL four guys have a say, and it is especially when the guys are getting down and dirty! And they get down and dirty a LOT in that last book! And I'm not usually one to bawk at a lot of down and dirty but I did feel that it overshadowed Phillip's story.
I did enjoy the paranormal aspect: Sammi can read minds, Brian has premonitions, Rush can see in the dark, Edward can heal by touch and Phillip can influence by touch.
I liked that all the guys in the pairings have a say, so we hear from everyone and you know that makes me happy.
I did not like the SPEED at which things moved for the first three couples. Phillip's tale was a good deal slower, with everyone else having some thing to say. The previous three though?? Very quickly it went from attraction to love, for Sammi and Mitchell, it was the first chapter! I'm all for insta-love in places, but I did not like here, especailly for Sammi because of what he was running from. But equally, Jack and Rush are hiding, deep in their only personal hall closets, and you have expected there to be a bit more reluctancy to fall in love from those two (although they DID fight it, tooth and nail!) It was just too mcuh too soon.
It is explicit, heavily so; it also carries references to murder, rape and stalking and deals with the sex industry and being held against their will.
Still, a good read, just not a brilliant one.

Three childhood friends, Sam (Gideon Adlon), Kayla (Geraldine Viswanathan) and Julie (Kathryn Newton, make a pack that they will all have sex for the first time with their dates on prom night. They get together at Julieâs house the night of prom to and get sent off by all families. They head out in a limo for the most memorable night of their lives. Little do they know that Julie left her laptop on with their group chat open. Julieâs mom, Lisa (Leslie Mann), finds the laptop and with the help of Kaylaâs dad, Mitchell (John Cena), and Samâs dad, Hunter (Ike Barinholtz), they decipher the emoji messages and discover the girlsâ sex pact. Lisa a single mom, who just found out that her daughter has been accepted to a college thousands of miles away, thinks her daughter is making a huge mistake and wants to confront her. Mitchell, an overprotective father, agrees and they decide to race after the girls to confront them at the dance. Hunter who has been out of his daughterâs life and just wants her to have a great night tries to first talk them out of it, then physically stop them as they get into Lisaâs car. All three in the car they speed off to what will definitely me a memorable prom night for them and their three daughters.
This comedy is the directorial debut for Kay Cannon (writer Pitch Perfect 2, screenplay Pitch Perfect, actress How to Be Single). She does a good job and this is a well-made comedy. The story does an okay job of blending comedy with a heartfelt story of the relationship between parents and children. There are definitely parts that had the audience roaring in laughter. The jokes at time were a little juvenile and for shock value alone, but other times were very witty. There is also a decent amount of cheesiness in this film that didnât necessarily fit all of the time. With a rooster in front of the title you have to assume there are going to be some raunchy moments. Over all the performances were good. John Cena has some very funny moments but also some pretty campy lines. I did feel his character had the same moment several times though. They had him cry multiple times throughout the film and by the end the big tough guy crying grew old for me. Ira Barinholtz has some fun moments also.
Sometimes the best moments in a comedy are spoiled in the trailers and for me they did a good job of putting enough of the high points in the trailer will out ruining the punchline. I found myself enjoying the buildup to the payoff more than the big finish. I thought that seeing this film in a theater also helped as many of the laughs more contagious audience laughter than punchlines. Overall I left the theater enjoying the film and thinking it was better than expected.

Dead Man Floating
Maisie Mitchell has sold her restaurant and retired to Florida. Sheâs living in a seniorâs only community, and thatâs where sheâs met Donna âDotâ Pinetta, a retired homicide detective from Chicago. The two are opposites in many ways, but they quickly form a friendship. They are enjoying their lives, although they begin to notice an undercurrent of tension in their community, all centered around Mason Jacobs, the young, handsome recreation director. Things come to a head when they discover his body floating in the pool one morning. Dot jumps into detective mode, with Maisie tagging along behind her. Will the two of them figure out what happened?
This book sets up a promising new series with a sub plot involving Maisie and Dot getting an RV to travel. That premise is what drew me to the book. Itâs is much shorter than the books I read, and I did notice the difference. Characters and descriptions were a bit thin, and the plot felt a bit rushed. A few more pages to allow everything to breath would have been nice. But thatâs not to say I didnât enjoy the book. I appreciated the set up we got before the murder, introducing suspects and motives. The climax was great as well. I like Maisie and Dot, and Iâm definitely planning to join them for more trips.

The latest Coogan-Winterbottom collaboration is the kind of satire that draws blood, so it's lucky they have a note from the lawyers making it clear that it's absolutely and positively not based on the life of Sir Philip Green. A crass and amoral entrepreneur prepares for a lavish and decadent birthday celebration, in part to restore his image following some very bad publicity. Friends, family, and various hangers-on assemble; all does not go quite to plan - meanwhile, the ugly tale of the man's rise unfolds in flashback.
A friend initially demurred from seeing Greed, suggesting that he didn't need to see a movie to know how screwed up capitalism is - but I dragged him along anyway and we both enjoyed it. Mainly this is because it has a strong cast and a good script, although Steve Coogan is doing one of his comic grotesques and David Mitchell is basically just playing his usual comic persona under a different name. The shift from comedy to darker and more serious material as the film goes on is well handled, although you could argue the film is pushing it by attempting to be anti-capitalist, pro-feminist and pro-refugee all at the same time.
