Great mix of history and fiction.
I kept saying this around Halloween and I finally got around to reading it. I got to be honest I wasn't expecting much sounded a little trophie but I got to be honest I really did enjoy it from start to finish. The author is apparently related to the actual guy in the book which was a really cool take I really love the setting of Salem the author really got the detail down great and made for really interesting story. I got to be honest the plot was probably my favorite part it was a great mix of historical fiction and YA high school drama with the perfect amount of a good old myster novel.
Really my only complaint was the really tired love triangle storyline I really didn't feel like it was needed she could have easily have just been friends with one of them but that's just my personal opinion because I honestly I absolutely hate love triangles.
I'm definitely going to be chexking out book 2.

An old tale of cheating boyfriends and betraying best friends gets a revamp in this YA, humour-filled story, starring Felix and Hazel. Written from the perspectives of both of them, you are with Hazel as she learns about her boyfriend, Jay, and her best friend, Kimmy, now becoming a couple even though Jay forgot to mention it to her. School is tough and to find out in the school cafeteria is a hard one. Felix isn't prepared to let Hazel deal with it by herself, so he puts a plan in motion.
Well-written, humorous and with plenty of opportunities for reflection and passion, this story is light and thoroughly enjoyable. Movie references from the '80s abound, including one from The Princess Bride! I would have no hesitation in recommending this.
* A copy of this book was provided to me with no requirements for a review. I voluntarily read this book, and the comments here are my honest opinion. *

In America we trust
I truly love this series if you like YA dystopian Story's then this book is for you.
America Singer is a truly lovable protagonist who follows her heart and whilst this is not always the wisest of choices it does make a great story. America is a strong female who is a great inspiration for young girls to look up to.
Prince Maxon is also a great charcter although prince to Ilyria Maxon life isn't all glitz and glamour choosing between 30 strangers isnt as easy as the world thinks it is. he has pressure of war closing in on him at all sides his Dad wants him to go another direction and not all of the girls are what they seem.

Great Adaptation
I have been waiting for this adaptation since I read the books a good few years ago. When it was finally announced, I was buzzing with excitement and for good reason. This film adaptation was pretty well done and felt like my vision of the book came to life. I originally had some doubts about the casting choices made, but those thoughts were immediately put out of my head when I watched the film; the casting choices were perfect and I now can't imagine anyone else playing those roles. Certain scenes did feel a bit rushed and should have been extended as I was left with a feeling of whiplash, but other than that, I was very happy with this YA adaptation.

I liked this. It was nice to take a break from all the YA I've been reading lately and go for something a bit more adult.
From the start it was sexy and fun. Josh came across as being fun and quite down to Earth after the first meeting. Caitlin was quite cool too, she tried to do what was right.
One thing I wasn't so fond of was the sex. It was erotica and that isn't my favourite genre. I preferred the bits between the sex scenes as most of the relationship occurred before the sex took place.
I also feel like the book should have had an epilogue as it seemed rather abrupt how it ended.
If all the authors works are like this then I wouldn't mind reading more of her work.

I really liked this YA Contemporary Romance. It was sort of run-of-the-mill but I really liked it.
Ryan Hunter obviously had feelings for Lisa and used the opportunity presented to him to get to know her better by training her for the--what I know as football, but what American's know as soccer--team.
Of course it didn't all go to plan, as is the case with most romances. There is always something that goes wrong or a misunderstanding.
The style was really easy for me to get into and I read the full 200-odd pages within a few hours. It was right up my street and I can't wait to read Ryan Hunter, book 2 in the series and all from Ryan's POV.
