This is a Young Adult Fantasy set in a contemporary setting. Honoria, and her brother Geoffrey, are still recovering from the loss of their parents in the Twin Towers. They now live with their aunt and uncle and have moved to Arnn where Honoria quickly becomes intrigued and ensnared by the local legend of Witchwood Hollow.
Set in many different times, they do link up as the story progresses. Elizabeth, Lady Clifford, I just couldn't figure out how I felt about her. Honoria and Leon were fantastic characters that were completely real to their natures and the times.
Well written, with a fast-moving story, this definitely has more of a mystery theme than romance, although there is a hint of it. I liked how it all tied up together at the end, complete with the twist.
If you want a Young Adult Fantasy Mystery, then I can definitely recommend this.

Solid characterisation (1 more)
Genuinely terrifying concept when you consider the metaphors
Occasional drawn out tangents (1 more)
"That scene"...
Worth 1100 pages!
As always, Stephen King is able to take an abstract concept and instil it with the purest kind of terror. The characterisation of these young children is really solid and only gets stronger as he distils the essence of their personalities in their adult selves. In the strangest way, it would still be an excellent novel without Pennywise, but the looming threat of this ethereal beast just adds to the mood.

Starwars prequel
I really loved this movie as far as starwars goes .it s beautiful futureistic settings.strong characters who arnt made for just verry young kids .its verry teen to adult storyline.lots of action beliveable and even the smartmouth empire robot is funny yet not too over powering.ive watched this movie 3 times and could watch again.id have ranked it ahead of the first two made starwars movies but they were the first two and still hold a huge place in my heart...well worth the watch.

I received an ARC when I signed up and was selected to host the book tour. I made no guarantee of a favorable review and the opinions expressed here are my own.
This teen/young adult read is well written with ever developing characters and I enjoyed reading it. You'll find secret socieities, rituals, magic and a developing romance between my two favorite characters, Julia and Graham. I found it hard to put the book down. There are definitely some lose ends so I look forward to reading the next book.

A necessary book to read as a teenager
Reading J. D. Salinger's renowned book when you're younger makes perfect sense because you can relate to the main character, and his wayward ways while growing up. He's awkward, but most importantly he's on the brink of self-destruction which many teenagers can relate to. As an adult reading it, Holden Caulfield will seem like just an arrogant teenager, but as a young person you'll see he's just trying to find his way in the world, also bringing up awareness of mental health. A classic book.

Michelle (114 KP) rated Marked (House Of Night #1) in Books
Apr 21, 2018
When I first saw this Vampire Y A book I thought it would become a good series to collect as its about a group of kids who have been marked to become Vampires and sent to The House Of Night Vampire School. In the first book we learn about Zoey who has just become a student at the Vampire school. As the series goes on the books get boring. Not one of the best buys in Young Adult fiction.
