"An Angel at My Table touched me enormously when it came out. I really lived with this movie in my mind for one or two months. I think I saw it three or four times in the cinema, and I recall it with a great deal of warmth."

So far my opinion of the Angel continuation is much higher than the Buffy graphic novels. The plot is a lot more engaging and makes some sort of sense, (most of) the artwork really grabs me, and I just enjoy them a whole heck of a lot more. I enjoyed reading what happened to everyone immediately 'after the fall' into Hell and liked the different feel to each story. This had the Trifecta of Angel-y goodness: it had drama, it had action, it had humor! *singing: <i>"It had style, it had grace, it had Gwen give good face."</i> LOL Clearly I am insane.* And I giggled even more at Brian Lynch's 'ramblings' at the end, which includes a drinking game for anyone interested. I especially loved the continuation of titles, and I'll share the first one so I don't muddle up an explanation: <i>Angel: After the Fall: First Night: Curse of the Black Pearl</i>. How can I not laugh at that? Remember, if you have your own logo, you've really gotten somewhere. :D

I am so glad that T.A. Chase decided to give Lam his own book. This angel is one who has played a significant hand in sorting out the Four Horsemen, and he became more interesting every time I read about him.

This book is full of revelations, action, kidnappings and love. I loved how the Four (previous) Horsemen play their parts, and Day is a fantastic character. He has his faults and is aware of them, and Lam loves him in spite of them. What angel - or fallen angel - could ask for more?

This is very well written, with no editing or grammatical errors that I found. I felt this was the perfect conclusion to this set of stories, although I could see it continuing with the shenanigans going on with the Quad. Definitely recommended.

* A copy of this book was provided to me with no requirements for a review. I voluntarily read this book, and the comments here are my honest opinion. *

My number 3 title in my #top10 #favourite films is 'Angel-a'
------------------------------------------
#Angela is a very underrated #lucbesson movie but for me its his absolute best work. This #film has had such a massive impact on my life/who I am as a person & for that reason alone its a film I hold so close to my #heart. Essentially a #love story but different to the kind we are used to #Angel-a is #heartbreaking, #funny, #strange & visually #breathtaking. Teaching not only about the importance of love but more about the importance of learning to #loveyourself first Angel-a has such a powerful message especially for people feeling lost in life. Simply #beautiful to look at with every scene looking like a piece of art & directed with such #passion, love & care that I was pulled right into its #weird & wonderful story right from the start. Its an #emotional rollercoaster at times hitting you right in the heart but it also has just enough #crazy Besson style & humour to make it truly unique & different to what you would expect from the genre. Seemingly #inspired by the film wingsofdesire by #wimwenders & just like it Angle-a too is also rich in #philosophy & the cast is an absolute joy to watch. While not for everyone I simply can not describe how much I adore this movie. ------------------------------------------------

Enh. The plot sounded good, and it could have, but it just didn't quite get there for me. And I know Angel is over 250-years-old, but we don't always need flashbacks, at least not the overabundance of them that were used in this book. There were actually shows, many shows, in the series that didn't have a one, shocking as that may sound. I'm really starting to dislike flashbacks now. The characterizations were generally good, although a few times I had the thought: "Angel would never say that." But overall, when it got back to 'present' times, it was fairly interesting. And it was nice to have Doyle back again. A decent book, but not great.

"A great statement on human nature made by one of my favorite directors, Sidney Lumet. Early Jack Klugman, Jack Warden, and Martin Balsam are brilliant here, as well as the messenger/angel Henry Fonda. If you have any doubts about jury duty, please watch this. As for justice, there is just us . . ."

Angel Gomez is a single mother, doing the best she can to raise and support her son. Finishing up her nursing degree and working as a bartender has Angel always busy. When she meets Duke, a Yankees pitcher, she doesn't even know who he is, but he needs her help. His team can't know he's not ready to take the mound, so Duke needs Angel to pretend they are dating so he has an excuse for why he's visiting the clinic where she works. But Angel has enough drama in her life with her boss's trying to hit on her all the time, to be worried about Duke's drama as well. Will she go along with the fake dating or will she pass?

Thank you to NetGalley and St. Martin's Press for the opportunity to read and review this book.

I have been watching Basketball Wives from the very first season. Then Evelyn Lozada had a shoe store in Miami. Now she's living in L.A. as a single mom to 2 children and is still on Basketball Wives. I can hear her in this book. Her voice rings through Angel's character.

Now this book was no literary piece of art, but it held my attention throughout. I didn't like the repetitiveness of the book and there were a couple of things in there that seemed so unreal. Overall, I enjoyed the book. I got it because of watching the show and I wanted to see what it was all about.
