I initially found this to be uncommonly touching but no sooner does it fall into the draining rhythm of the rest of these sad realism/fantasy metaphor films. Still cloying as can be but a reasonable amount of mostly unaffected emotional scenes do make it out of the wreckage with this one, and after all it's still vastly better than ππ¦π’π΄π΅π΄ π°π§ π΅π©π¦ ππ°πΆπ΅π©π¦π³π― ππͺππ₯ and ππ’π―'π΄ ππ’π£πΊπ³πͺπ―π΅π© combined because it's visually divine without being cut down to scraps via obnoxious handheld gimmick (which this still has but it's much more restrained, sort of works here, and is actually visible for once) or an eyesore color palette that resembles somebody smearing mud all over the lens like either of those two. As is usual for the genre there isn't near enough depth or fantasy parts for this to be fully successful, but the child performers are all marvelous and the horror/fantasy that is here is quite masterful - the effects and art design are just awesome. If this was interested in being its own deal rather than ripping off practically every single trope you can find in these types of movies then we'd really be in business. But as it stands, it's still far above the pack in comparison to the rest of them - as if that's even a high bar to begin with.

Between this and the similarly experimental delirium of ππ©π¦ ππππ΄ π°π§ ππ¦π’π΅π©, I'm convinced that Ant Timpson is onto something - I'm fine standing alone in really buying into his brand even though no one else seems to. I have the same major gripe here that I did with the latter movie though... cool it with the sex stuff, bro. It's funny a fair amount of times but not when it seems to be the only thing going on time after time after time after you'd already abandoned the enticing mystery of the first half way too abruptly. Otherwise this was awesome, the type of kooky but oh-so-lurid genre-bender that we used to see a lot of from 2011-2014 but sort of just dropped right off the planet at a certain point. One mega-mack daddy of a twist, rich visuals, a solid sense of humor, and all grounded by Elijah Wood's next-level performance (and intrinsically hilarious haircut). The first half is exquisitely tantalizing but it admittedly loses steam in the second half for me, which still has its assets in its own way of course (hey at least it's grisly). But none of that really matters too much because it wraps up on such a perfect moment. Flawed but *very* groovy.

I love the show and just had to read this. Now I'm possibly in love with it.
The story is simple yet great; The Lich is sucking up the world into his bag and Finn and Jake must save everyone. They are accompanied by some fabulous characters - Princess Bubblegum, Marceline, Lumpy Space Princess, Desert Princess, The Ice King - and there are some hilarious pieces of dialogue. All the characters have funny, well-developed personalities that you can't help but fall in love with.
I also like how the fourth wall is often broken - Marceline moans at the readers, and fake "The End" pages are included for humour. It gives the novel a unique feel that I really enjoyed.
The artwork is amazing. Like, absolutely awesome. So much colour! And it's all so clear and beautiful. The only problem with the appearance in this novel is that the text at the bottom of some pages is a strange, pale green that is pretty hard to read against the white background of the pages.
Toward the back of the book, there are also tons of different cover images, all in different art styles. I loved them all! They were a great touch to the novel.
I was very tempted to give this 5 stars, but I don't think it's quite there. But 4.5 stars for sure!

I've not read that much about Superman, but my boyfriend has kept me updated on the plot. That background knowledge really helped when reading this volume, as it was pretty confusing.
The start took me by surprise; Lex Luthor as Superman, following the death of Clark. What's he doing as Superman, though? What are his true motives?
One thing to remember with this is that DC have several universes, meaning there are different Clarks/Supermans on different worlds. And this issue involves a Superman who is not on his home planet, and an extra Clark that nobody was expecting...
I love Clark's little family, and the way it's affected by his being Superman and everything. There wasn't much in this volume of the family together, though, as it is mainly based on the fight between Superman, Lex, Wonder Woman and Doomsday.
I would've liked more explanation in here on the whole situation with all the different Supermans, but I haven't read any previous issues so I suppose they might explain it. (Maybe I'll ask my boyfriend about it.)
One thing I haven't yet mentioned is the mysterious figure commentating on the battle, even intervening and stealing Doomsday away. I'm really interested to see where that's going.
As usual, the art is awesome. It's not my favourite comic, but I still enjoyed it. 3.5 stars.

Space, its deep man!
356. Ad Astra. BRAAAD PIIITTTT'S INNNN SPPPAAACCCCEEEEE. Anyone? Anyone? I'm old. Anyways, so a pretty awesome space adventure flick, that's not really about a space adventure. There's messages in there man, like if humans start living in space, it will eventually be covered in billboards and fought over for resources just like home, and of course the overall message of... Well you have to see it. Back to the space adventure part. The future, man has ventured out into the solar system, and now that solar system is being smacked upside the head with a surge of energy causing all kinds of death and destruction, and it looks like its all stemming from the Lima project, headed by Clifford McBride, who's way out there in the outer solar system searching for life. So the people in charge send his son Roy McBride, another genius astronaut to find out what happened out there. On the way to set up a long distance call to his dad from Mars, Roy fights space pirates on the moon, starved baboons on a abandoned research facility, even secretly stows away aboard a spaceship to commander it to go save daddy!! And in the end, Roy may find some answers he was looking for! Definitely worth a watch in IMAX!! Filmbufftim on FB.

Always believe in yourself even if everyone, even the ones closet to you, doesnβt believe in you because the only person that needs to believe in you is yourself. When you hit rock bottom there is only one way to goβ¦ and that way is up, up and up.
What group of people would like this movie? Who would you recommend it to? Who would you not recommend it to?
i would recommend it to anyone that has a family with a little kid.

i have decided that sing, the movie, is a ok movie. it is somewhere between a good and a bad movie.

I was cruising through the amazballs app Tubi Tv when I came across this little gem... Mind you, I do smoke a shit ton of weed myself... And it is legal now in my whole country, so fuck it... Lol.
Doug Benson is someone I've seen on talk shows and heard on podcasts a few times, but I never knew much about him.
This little piece of click bait lured me in with the chance of seeing one of my favorite writer/directors Kevin Smith getting blazed up with Doug and Brian Poshien... Or however you spell it... And it didn't let me down.
He and his guests get just obliterated off some of the sweetest strains of bud made available by whatever weed store they happen to propagate. And they always tell you what the pot is like. Effects... Length of buzz... That sort of pertenate information stoners like myself want to know.
Plus its a chance to see Jeff Ross, Natasha Leggerio and Anthony Jeselnyk HIGH AS GIRAFFE BALLS.
Overall its 45 minutes that is filled with talking, coughing and laughter... Very reminiscent of nights spent in my mom's kitchen with my friends, sitting around the table smoking our heads off and laughing til the sun came up.
