Clare Parrott (294 KP) rated The Collar (Submissive, #6) in Books

A super sexy read that I enjoyed, I never read any of the previous books in the series and it didn't detract from the story. Only thing I would say is 'the bad guy' in the book was a bit of a wash out and ended up being a minor irritation. I thought he would have been more of a problem to Dena.

Well this sequel of sorts sunk without a trace. A DVD release featuring a fairly well known cast. It doesn't really have any links to the first film other than the plot is similar. Set in Hawaii as some divers are hired for more than just treasure hunting. Not bad but nothing great either, shame as I loved the first film.

A run of the mill low budget straight to DVD sequel. Considering the budget it isn't really bad but it's not good either. It borrows a lot of ideas from other films bit of a mix of Aliens, The Thing, Body snatchers. For a film that has a made for TV feel about it could have been a lot worse.

Wonderland meets London
I really like this series, I just started book 8 today and can barely put it down. It blends all the characters from Wonderland into the real world beautifully. I highly recommend it.

This debut is slow and somewhat predictable. The only “twist” takes place halfway through the novel and doesn’t really make up for the sluggish pace of the story. It delves somewhat superficially into the lives and thoughts of the characters but not enough to really make us invested in them. It is not a bad novel but I had hoped for better.

Danii19936 (3 KP) rated The Handmaid's Tale - Season 1 in TV

My absolute favourite series at the moment! Despite the dystopian setting it is scary how real the problems portrayed can seem and how possible the world feels! This is the only time I will probably ever say this but I much prefer the TV series than the book, not to say it’s a bad book, but that the show is that’s good!

Great world builder (2 more)
Dynamic characters
Character growth
There's nothing overly bad about this book, I've given it a lower rating as it took me ages to get through and had to start it twice to get into it. The world is amazing, the whole shape shifter tribe thing is awesome. I loved the 2 main characters and it ended brilliantly.

Questions, questions. Where's Evan? What happened to the camp? Ben and Cassie? Cassie and Evan? Will anyone get their real name back? Where are they going?
A gripping read with a scifi and dystopian feel. I had no idea cover to cover who to trust, who were good guys and bad guys. So much potential going into the next book.

I don't think this movie was as bad as people say. I quite liked the fantasy side added to the Tom Raider kind of feeling. Now don't get me wrong, I didn't expect to see some of the characters we encounter in the movie....AT ALL. But still, if you're into fantasy / Egyptology / Myths, I think you could give this a go.
