Who Shot at Mel?
Mel DeLaura is spending a late night at Fairy Tale Cupcakes in Old Town Scottsdale thanks to a bridezilla who needs a last-minute change to her cupcake order. That’s why she finds herself alone behind the bakery well after dark. She’s just locked up when someone starts shooting at her. Fortunately, they missed, but a neighboring business owner isn’t so lucky the next night. As Mel’s family and friends go into protection mode, another incident happens. What is going on in Old Town?

This book starts right out with the action. The plot is a little different, which I mostly enjoyed. Unfortunately, the execution didn’t quite work out, leaving us with a climax that felt a little rushed. Don’t worry, everything makes sense. The characters we love are all here, which is wonderful since I love spending time with them, and their interactions provide some great laughs. Much of the action takes place around Old Town Scottsdale, so we get to meet more of Mel’s business neighbors, which is fun. Of course, they also serve as suspects, and they do a great job of it. This book will leave you craving cupcakes, so watch for four delicious sounding recipes at the end. Long time fans will be happy to visit these friends again. If you are new to the series, you’ll soon find herself devouring all of them almost as quickly as you would a cupcake.

Inspiring Read
I've heard Malcolm Gladwell speak in person and this book reads just as if he is talking to you. He easily explains how speaking to the RIGHT person can have a bigger impact than speaking to a large number of people. In some situations it is understanding that the simplest of changes are the tip of an iceberg and result in a social epidemic of change. We don't necessarily need the big marketing campaign or the most expensive change management consultant...maybe we just need to be more observant of what is happening around us.

Acapella at its best
A great fun college movie about a girl who just wants to be by herself and end up in the music business finds that she has more inside her than what she believes. She joins an all girl singing group that is on the rebound from a horrible year. The group is made of a ton of talents but they are different personalities. Until they can learn who truly is meant to lead and learn to become a family then they can sing with the best. Many different song theme challenges along with competitions along they way make this movie a must see for music lovers.

1963 | Horror, Sci-Fi
Ray Milland brings a touch of class to Roger Corman's horror-sci-fi fable. The same old story: brilliant scientist is consumed by his own hubris, experiments on himself and meets a sticky end as a result: after initially being able to look through paper and cloth, his vision develops until he can see through the fabric of the universe itself, beholding something enigmatically terrible.

Not exactly over-burdened with plot, but the script is effective, and Milland brings all his presence to the film (nice supporting performances too). Some striking special effects, especially as the film goes on; not sure the final shot of the film really does the business but the film is very watchable regardless.

A way to change your dreams
A criminal who steals business secrets along with some others thing with the use of using a way to change dreams to get what he wants gets tasked with the challenge of stealing from a big time ceo. He enlists the help of a young student who has the creativeness to help make those changes in dreams to help with this task.

The movie itself was original and good. It kind of got boring becuase it was too long. The acting is fine and some of the action sequences were good but it was the CGI work that gave this movie its saving grace in my oppion.
