Terrifyingly ominous, separating facts from fiction
Journalist Matthew D'Ancona does the arduous task of showing how to fight the current stream of fake news spouted by our current institutions. He is explicit in saying that this isn't the beginning of a radical idea, but something that has been building for some time, offering methods to combat the phenomena. It is deeply troubling how facts are pushed aside and myths are upheld by loud-mouthed establishments despite ample evidence to the contrary. An important read for current times.

I may be a little bias with this franchise, but I can honestly say this looks incredible. It has taken the best elements of previous games such as the beautiful visuals of Black Flag, the ever evolving free running elements of AC3, Black Flag, Unity, and Syndicate.

It also has its own new elements as well though, with the new setting of Ancient Egypt, using an actual Eagle for the franchises famous 'Eagle Vision', which will allow you to fly and look over an entire settlement to discover the path you want to take to get to your target, or the path you're going to use to escape, and not to mention the new executions that are seen including throwing knife after assassinating a previous target, and shooting a bow after leaping from a tree, utilizing a slow motion element to allow the player time to target the enemy.

The new RPG system seems similar to that of Injustice 2, but obviously for one character and not requiring you to quit the game to equip it. The new combat system seems very reminiscent of Bloodborne from the Dark Souls series on PS4, including the ability to parry, and slide away from enemy attacks, which might mean the combat it somewhat more difficult compared to the often easy combat system of the previous games.

In Conclusion, I think Egypt is a perfect setting for this franchise, and a great place to begin the franchises reboot. I will certainly be pre-ordering this game, possibly the statue edition when it's announced. I know for a fact I will love this game, and I cannot wait to get my hands on it.

Marqees (17 KP) rated the Xbox One version of Batman: Return to Arkham in Video Games

Batman: Return to Arkham
Batman: Return to Arkham
2017 | Action/Adventure
Quality Voice acting, Great story, fluid combat system, open world (0 more)
repetitive NPC speak, overuse of detective mode (0 more)
If you are a fan of Batman and have not played Arkham Asylum and Arkham City stop what you are doing right now, currently reading my review of these games, and go play them for yourself. This game is heavily inspired by the Batman: The Animated Series lore so much so that writer Paul Dini, who help create the show, help pen the story. Reprising the role of the Dark Knight is Kevin Conroy who is the definitive Batman alongside him is his arch-nemesis the Joker voice by the legendary Mark Hamill. The plot of both games is very simple you as Batman must stop the overall plot of the Joker while fending off threats from various other Batman villains. The story is compelling, the combat fluid, and with the updated graphics very pretty to look at. On the downside, the game relies highly on Batman's Detective Mode to do all of the sleuthing and the Riddler puzzles can be tedious but overall these games are great.

The freeform structure and wide variety of roles is impressively liberating. (2 more)
Nuanced but accessible combat controls.
Fun multiplayer options. Decent port from the PC.
very steep learning curve. (1 more)
Earning money at the beginning can get extremely repetitive, as can the mission design, lifeless planets, and identikit space stations.
The pioneering space adventure makes an impressive landing on PlayStation 4, with more content than ever and the promise of even better things to come.

"From the first lines of Celan’s “Todesfuge”: Black milk of daybreak we drink it at sundown/ we drink it at noon in the morning we drink it at night/ we drink and we drink it Celan’s poems are terrifying and beautiful, many of them reflect his experience of the Holocaust. His parents died in a concentration camp, he was imprisoned in a labor camp. Language is Celan’s tool of combat and survival, and of the evocation of memory. I have always preferred poetry and prose to fiction. Poetry condenses."

Always been a big fan of the Ace Combat games and probably is the reason why I bought a PS4!
They've increased the story compared to other versions which means there's plenty more to play. The story has more to follow, gets a little complex towards the middle but it comes back around again and is great.
Only issue is that some of the missions are a bit similar so you kind of do the same thing over again but I still enjoyed it
