Manda (5 KP) rated Dead Until Dark (Sookie Stackhouse, #1) in Books

Omg omg omg
Ok ok, so it’s been a few years since I devoured this series, yes I said devoured. Charlaine Harris became one of my favorite authors upon reading this book and the next thing I knew the series had been read and my life was never the same.
Say hello to Sookie, a good hearted, beautiful blonde belle that can hear the thoughts of others. The world she lives in is one where vampires are real and omg walk amount us “normal” folk! This first novel introduces us to Sookie and her family, her grandmother who we all end up loving and her brother who is a dumbass but a cute one, so I guess that equals out. Things get crazy for Sookie and her life and friends when their small little town gets their first vampire. Bill. Ahh Bill. Bill frustrated me but whatever. In attempts to not contain spoilers I’m just going say, if you enjoy crazy supernatural reads with gore and lust and magic with a dash of murder mystery and crazy turns this book (this series) is for you.

How to Be a Pirate (How to Train Your Dragon, #2)
This maniacally crazy story is liberally spattered with appropriately riotous illustrations and maps. Found this book to be very funny indeed. The story is filled with witty writing and funny drawings and notes ensure that this clever Viking story keeps the reader laughing. It will appeal to boys and girls.

This was pretty good. I've always wanted to read Sherlock Holmes and this one sounded interesting and different so I thought, why not? It was a good mystery because I really had no clue who was behind everything although I did think the hound was more fantasy than reality. It's crazy the extremes people will go to when money us involved

Highly entertaining Stallone Vehicle that almost has the show stolen from under him by a perfect performance of crazy from Wesley Snipes.
This future fish out of water action movie has an old formula and at times cheesy dialogue but the comedy element keeps it interesting, an underrated and ofter berated 90's actioner that is great fun to rewatch!

Crazy road trip for two stoners out to satisfy their post drug hunger pangs.
Full of nuts one liners and strange Cameo's, it's a fun one to catch if you have just come in from a night on the tiles and need something comedic and fun but forgettable to watch.
It's very close to that other nuts stoner movie Dude where's my car.

This book was some eye opening experience reading I wasnt expecting, and I loved every second of it. This was unreal what happened to her and her experience and it was described so freaking well that I just can't believe it! It's crazy what one goes through in their life and what happens to a person in search of a diagnosis!
