Okay not a great movie most of the movie very slow not much happening picks up second half which helps the plot. Watching the movie I could see the dangers of the internet misuse of socal media and what's wrong with America under trump all rolled into one. Never thought I would see Joel McHale play creepy role but he does it well. would I watch again probably not

Hmmm a 12 rated "Horror" film?! Yep it doesn't really work, the only scares are predictable jumpy loud noise moments and spooky imagery. It has quite a dark story behind it though, it's just unfortunate that there is a real lack of dialogue with long quiet sections of Daniel Radcliffe walking round a creepy house. The production design is excellent though which adds to the right atmosphere, just not that scary for grown ups.

I have finally read this book. Granted, I listened to the audio book while I was crafting, but it still counts! It was a pretty good read. Even though I hadn't read the book before I was familiar with the story because it has shown up a lot in other books I have read in the past few years. Yeah, it was basically what I expected it to be. Interesting, creepy, and just plain weird.

A pretty decent effort of a remake of the original Thai film. It compares well and the scenes are very similar, but the Thai version was more jumpy and creepy for me. Though that could be partly put down to knowing what was coming. The imagery of the ghost girl is no way as scary as the Grudge, Ring remakes. Enjoyable film well made and featuring a recognizable cast including Rachael Taylor from Transformers.

After all the hype of the book, which I haven't read, I have to say this was a let down. There are some good performances from the young murdered girl and the creepy neighbour. The visuals for the inbetween world are ok. However the story and plot kind dragged for a long time, and reached an uneventful conclusion. I expected so much more, but it was just rather average to be honest.

Dark and delicious
Schwab does it again with a dark and delicious unique story.
If you like creepy superpowers and questioning morals this is for you!
I loved how it switched to different times, both past and present and between different characters backgrounds, all while not being confusing, to create a complete and interesting story.
I really wish it came with illustrations comic book style

Missed opportunity
A slow burner of a horror which is more psychological creepy than really scary. It's very subtle with the scares which come about more from the atmosphere created. Unfortunately the ending felt rushed and fell flat. Also a couple of things just didn't fit in how the characters would act in certain situations.
Overall not bad, but after a slow good build up it falls apart a little at the end.

It will definitely make you think.
I read in an English accent which made everything all the more creepy. Jake is not a good guy and he knows this. He doesn't apologize for it either. As he says "live. There is no God and that's His only commandment." This book is full of allusion and references most of which I'm not sure I caught.
This is a love it or hate it book.

I love this series. It features former child star Jupiter Jones and his friends, Bob and Pete.
Jupiter decides to form a detective agency and puts Kristin Amanda Thomas to business shame by tricking his way into a meeting with Alfred Hitchcock, who is looking for a haunted house to shoot a movie in.
There are some nice creepy moments here and the friendship between the boys is a lot of fun.

I will admit that I saw this movie years ago and only within the past year got around to reading the book. Without giving any spoilers I can safely say the I prefer the ending to Stephen King's book so much more than what the movie offered. As always his books are just the right combination of creepy and realistic to prevent his work from being unbelievable. My all time favorite author.
