Erika (17789 KP) rated X-Men: First Class (2011) in Movies

This is definitely my favorite X-Men movie, though, I am total trash for anything with James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender. They both did well as Professor X and Magneto. Personally, vengeful Magneto is my favorite Magneto. I liked the vibe, and the story line. Hugh Jackman's cameo was hilarious. Kevin Bacon was excellent as the villain. The only thing I can live without is another film where they don't give Mystique clothing.
When a neighbor's child is kidnapped on Halloween, it starts FBI agent Chris Miller on the trail of a terrorist attack planned for Thanksgiving. I got really caught up in this excellent thriller and had a hard time putting it down. The only warning here is the epithets used by the villains.

Tony Williams (1 KP) rated Black Lightning in TV

So much more than i expected
I didn't expect a great deal from this show but I'm delightex to say i was completely wrong. The show comes across as totaly convincing with strong performances from all the cast. Jefferson doesn't look the superhero but as soon as the costume goes on he IS Black Lightning. Nice to have a show with down to earth villains rather than wannabe world conquerors.

Favourite Movies
The first of the trilogy where we see Nero (Keanu Reeves) start his fight through the Matrix with his mind linked to a computer which shows up a load of lines on green background which are all a special code. Keanu as Nero also has to decide which pill to take red or blue. Some excellent martial art moves are shown in these moves as well as some high tech scenes.

Great special effects
Really intriguing
A really great movie, which was very intriguing, about Two brother who managed to escape the cult they were in as a child, and their journey back, so the older brother can prove that their lives have improved since they left
I found certain parts of the storyline very easy to guess, but the final scenes were hard to see coming!!
Very good for all sci-fi lovers!

Gisell Middleton (189 KP) rated Light It Up: A Peter Ash Novel in Books
Jul 12, 2018
Petrie and Ash did it again! This book was full of action, the way Peter Ash novels usually are, but also gave us glimpses of Peter’s lighter, more playful side and how you change and adapt when there is someone important in your life. I love that the dynamic friendship between Peter and Lewis continues to grow and unfold as does Peter’s relationship with June. This thriller was excellent and un-put-downable.

Excellent Story
I read this book when I was a child, then later on as an adult. The story is rich in details about the time period. When my kids were growing up, it became tradition to read it through the month of December.
To me the story teaches that it's never too late to have a change in heart, to learn to appreciate those around us.

Intense
This horror/thriller flick was great. The acting (Blake Lively) was excellent and the cinematography was very well done. Some seriously beautiful visuals. This shark attack story played out well with many intense moments throughout to keep you on the edge of your seat. I found myself cheering for her to make it to that next moment. The effects were done very well and the ending was unexpected but welcome. REALLY worth a watch!

Paul Morrow (6 KP) rated Disney Villainous in Tabletop Games

Excellent fun bring the villian
I played Disney Villianous for the first time tonight since getting it as a present. The strategy is to complete your villain's goal before the other villains do. You can also mess with the other villains by making it harder for them to complete their goal. Had great fun and someone enjoyed it that much they bought their own copy as soon as we finished.
