I Was Hooked From The Start
OMG!!! This is not a typical read for me and now I'm asking; "When's the second book coming out?" I must have it! Within the first few sentences, I was hooked!

I love how even though Kyra witnessed the alien invasion and deaths she managed to overcome all obstacles by being strong-minded and working hard to achieve her goals.

The storyline starts strong and remains that way until the end. The world building is fantastic and the characters are simply outstanding and beautiful. This author's writing style is out of this world and the cover is stunning.

Those first 80 pages or so were a real struggle for me. I found Margot and Lara Jean both really annoying, especially Margot. She's supposed to be all selfless but I found here quite the opposite so when she finally went to Scotland I was very happy.

I then pretty much devoured the book once LJ's letters got posted out and her love interests made appearances. I was very much cheering her on with both guys but there was something about Peter...and then it ended without a conclusion, or even a HFN.

So I really need to buy the second book in the series to find out what happens next.

I read the first book [b:No Weddings|22052891|No Weddings (No Weddings, #1)|Kat Bastion|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1406701175s/22052891.jpg|41380159] back in 2014 and i really liked it then. Now, i dont read so many contemporary romances but i did want to see what happened next with these guys.

I do love Hannah and Cade together but the fact that their will-they/won't-they thing has been stretched into two books before they finally get around to doing the deed and then their story continues into two more stories...well, I'm not sure if I want to continue their tale.

For a debut novel this contains fantastic writing. How I imagine one might act suffering such abuse by someone of authority, who was to teach and have you grow. At 15 Vanessa believes this to be a real first love, then as she matures she finds all the things left broken by it. It makes her seem questionable in some spaces in the book where you just want to shake her I do think it's fair to say that there are people out there that suffered to have to turn it into something else so that everything isn't ruined. That's what this book does so well shows the struggle of realization.
