Easy exercises to improve your happiness (0 more)
A journal in which you are given different activities to improve your happiness.
I was provided with a complimentary copy of this book so I could give an honest review.

Everyone, including me, can use some more happiness in their lives so I requested to read The Happiness Diary: The Practice of Finding and Savoring Things to Be Joyful About by Barbara Ann Kipfer.

The Diary is not a book to read in one sitting. It is a journal in which you are given different activities to improve your happiness. Some are reflective exercises. Other suggest an journal prompt to complete then review after a specific time period - days, weeks, months, or more. Rereading your entry allows you to see how your life, goals, and happiness have changed during that time period.

It offers different ways to help express your happiness. It encourages you to try all of the techniques to find which one or ones are preferable to you.

One of the entries I have been doing for years. For homework for a Positive Psychology class, you needed to think of 3 good things that happened that day. It is a great exercise.

One of my favorite entries is the Newness Challenge. It suggests you try something new every day for a month. I have been trying to learn something every month for years. It is challenging but fun.

Better Than The First One
Nothing happens, i repeat nothing fucking happens until the last 15 minutes of the movie. I mean somethings happen, but thats once in every 20-30 minutes. So in reality for a 90 minute movie, 4-5 intrest things happen and thats it, the rest is boring, watching people, more cameras and i almost forgot more cameras.

The Plot: When the Reys move into their new Southern California home, little do they realize that the house is already occupied. After coming home one day to find the house in disarray -- but with no signs of forced entry or robbery -- they install a video surveillance system to catch the perpetrators. But nothing prepares them for what happens next.

Zzzzzzzz what something happens, okay back to nothing zzzzzzz.

Meal prepping is the “in” thing for anyone that has a busy lifestyle. You take one day to shop and prep so that you don’t have to take the time later on.

What I like most about this cookbook is that the meal selections were not only easy to prepare but used wholesome and nutritious ingredients. You could easily swap for veggies that your family enjoy or even add more to fill up your plate and give you more fiber. But what do you expect from a book written by a dietician?!

This book is filled with not only meal plans and recipes, but tips, shopping lists, and great storage solutions. The only thing missing for this foodie were pictures.

I loved the Breathing Series. I've read them several times each and keep going back to them because I love Rebecca's story weaving and character development. This novella has neither of those.

If your looking for a rain cloud main character you may enjoy it. She's doom and gloom from beginning to end and it's kind of exhausting.

This novella (I keep calling it that because the length of this can't even qualify as a book) takes place during one single day. Just one. That one day is packed with so much drama, crazy happenings, and arguing that it leaves your head spinning.

You know nothing about any of the characters at the end of this, aside from that they're all incredibly flawed. You'd think you'd learn more about the main character at least, but we've been left with only her bitchy attitude and that she never lies.

As much as I love Rebecca's previous books, I just can't recommend this one.

I Didn’t Want Hollywood Ending to End
It’s awards season in Hollywood and actress turned PI Day Anderson is celebrating when her boyfriend, Omari, is nomination for the Silver Sphere Award. However, after one of the parties he has to attend to mingle with the judges, Lily Davis is murdered. Lily was a publicist for the Silver Sphere Awards, and they have offered a reward for information leading to the arrest of her killer, so naturally Day jumps in to solve the case. This one seems much easier than her first murder case. Is she missing something?

Of course, she is, and the book soon involves plenty of complications that kept me reading as fast as I could. There are some fun twists before we reach the climax. Day and all her friends are back, and I loved spending more time with them and seeing how their relationships have changed. I also really enjoy the insider’s look at life in the Hollywood world. Everything is brought together by humor that had me laughing and smiling the entire way through the book. Those who loved the first book will be equally delighted with this one. And if you haven’t started this series yet, you need to do so today.

Creative or survival modes
I have minecraft on my laptop but I enjoy it on the xbox one more. It's easier to use in my opinion. Nothing like exploring and building with some intense action along the way. I find myself lost for hours on end in this game. Whether I'm in a dungeon, cave or just exploring. It never ends with just a small amount if game play. I am often lost for hours on on having a blast. Not to mention it's okay for kids. Though my daughter will have to fight me for some time. It's also great for releasing stress after a long day at work and helps those creative juices flow.

App doesn't work with smile.amazon for charity
Almost TOO easy!
Amazon has made shopping from your couch almost TOO simple! I have created "wish lists" for things I want to buy my son for Christmas. Amazon is wonderful about marking price drops and I have gotten some wonderful deals this way. I love that I have access to a wide range of products from around the world and customer reviews for those products. With my Prime membership I have the option for free 2 day shipping, but more frequently I choose the "no rush" shipping option. This takes a little longer but I receive credits for digital items such as Kindle books, music, and movie rentals.
This app doesn't work with the smile.amazon charity donations. This is the one drawback of the app, and it IS a big one for me.

Rating: 4.5 out of 5

Joyce Meyer shares personal experiences and examples from scripture that give you a daily dose of inspiration and peace. Every morning devotion starts with a Bible verse, then there is a few paragraphs to meditate through. It concludes with a short and sweet piece of advice or something to remember throughout the day. This is a wonderful source of encouragement, thought-provoking, and easy to read.
My only complaint about this book is that there isn’t quite enough Bible in it for me. There is one verse per day—and I need a little more than that. It would be nice if there was recommended reading, or a Bible-in-a-year plan or something.
Recommendation: Any age. This is a great side-tool to go with your daily devotions. I would recommend reading the whole chapter referenced in the devotion (for the sake of both context and more than a verse a day), reading the devotion, and journaling your thoughts about it.

Ross (3282 KP) rated Arrow in TV

Arrow
Arrow
2012 | Drama
This series is a decent attempt at chronicling the background, and current activities of one of the DC Universe's lesser known/adapted for the screen heroes - the Green Arrow. While it starts as quite a dark, Batman-esque vigilante, it soon develops into a more team-based, lighter-hearted series. I think part of this is to fit more naturally with the cheesy spandex of The Flash. Despite this, the character of Oliver Queen retains a dark streak and his actions are much more morally dubious, giving it an edge. The story flips between present day and the island Oliver was marooned on, where he learned the skills needed to become the Green Arrow.
