Dean (6927 KP) rated The Mousetrap in St. Martin's Theatre (London, United Kingdom) in Shows

Great fun for Whodunit fans
Now in its 69th year at the St Martin's theatre I managed to get half price tickets for the show. The theatre is very old and maybe small but with plenty of character.
I saw a matinee performance as the show has 2 cast line ups. There was a face or two that looked familiar but no big names.
Despite having to keep their distance on stage the cast did a great job. There were some funny scenes as a description on the radio of someone wanted for questioning matched pretty much everyone. The show never drags and it's fun trying to figure out the killer. The only downside for me was that there weren't any real clues to work out the killer for those who like to play detective. Overall though a fun couple of hours.

Some of the William Shatner stuff is funny, apart from that mostly sucks. This is just the same exact movie as the first one almost beat for beat, but worse. Recycles umpteen jokes from the first film, recycles jokes from itself, then recycles jokes that it already recycled from the first film again... time. and. time. again. Take a shot every time this reuses a joke (which mostly consist of bad 'lol sex funny' gags which wouldn't plague American comedic cinema for at least 20 years after this), rips off the first movie, brings in a previous cast member who clearly doesn't want to be there, or says/does something unfunny - you'll be blackout drunk within 15 minutes, tops. Doubly impressive how this manages to be so limp and forgettable considering it's a supposed sequel to one of the most hilarious and memorable movies of all time. Raw cringe.

Best parody movie for many many moons
This is one of the funniest movies ever made. The balance of earnestness of the cast with total clichéness of rest of the movie makes is spectacular. An utter must watch for anyone burnt out with the total pap that is being churned out under the parody umbrella.

I was expecting something hilarious after seeing the trailer but I think they pretty much put every funny part of the movie into the trailer so there were no fresh laughs. However, there were some pretty great fight scenes and wasn't too bad from an action point of view. I really enjoyed it but I just felt a little bit let down from the trailer to the movie.

I loved this book. I'm sad it took me so long to pick it up. I finished the whole thing in a day. I love me some of the guard. the Prince is nice and all but until he stands up to his father or becomes king then he isn't really with her time.

Great chemistry between the lead characters (2 more)
Very funny
Good plot with some twists
A Smashing film
I really enjoyed this, one of the best buddy type films in a long time. A private eye and an enforcer unwittingly team up in a missing person case. Cue fights, shoot outs and car chases as they stumble from one clue to another. All with a good 70's vibe and sound track.

Great animation (2 more)
The short story before the film is technically amazing
Good fun and humour for all ages
Fish this one out
It's been an age since Finding Nemo, so it's great to see some of the characters again. The detail in the animation is great. It has some funny new characters especially the Octopus. If you like the original, who doesn't? You'll like this.
