Shaun of the Dead (2004)
Shaun of the Dead (2004)
2004 | Comedy, Horror
The first film in the Cornetto triology and arguebly the best.
The idea for this film was spawned from another Pegg/Frost?Wright project Spaced, when Peggs character Tim is having a dream inspired by the Resident Evil game.
From that short sequence Simon Pegg and Edgar Wright came up with Shaun of the Dead.
I dont want to spoil this movie by over reviewing it but when I went to see this when it came out I howled with laughter.
I watched it again this week and still find it so funny.
A solid must see film.

Bill & Ted Face the Music (2020)
2020 | Comedy, Fantasy
I had to pony up the money to see this film at the Drafthouse since they were the only theater chain to have rights to play it. Pay $9.50 for a ticket and munch on chicken tendies or pay $24.99 to sit at my house? No contest.
Bill and Ted have to write their civilization-saving song within a short amount of time. Can they do it?
Yes, this movie was dumb, and funny, but I wasn't expecting high art cinema. Of course, it can never measure up to the first one, but I was entertained.

We all wear Masks..metaphorically speaking.
If you haven't seen it yet, shame on you!

Jim Carrey offers up his legendary goofy antics in this portrayal of the dark horse comics character, Stanley Ipkiss aka The Mask.
Filled with unforgettable scenes and quotes that are still used by everyday people, The Mask was a hit with audiences of all ages with the characters over the top green faced expressions and ridiculous costumes that followed.
Although not as dark as it's comic book material, the movie is an old gem that's still tickling those funny bones.
