Nothing special
I was expecting this film to be a bit of silly fun, but it wasn't quite as light hearted and entertaining as I'd hoped. Reynolds and Jackson make a great double act, with Jackson playing his usual character and Reynolds doing his great funny man act. Some of the humour was good although i think some fell a little flat. The action was good, even if some of the effects were a little dodgy looking. My main issue is that the film was more serious than I'd expected and I really didn't like the soppy romance element of the plot. Sometimes it's entertaining just to watch a bonkers action film.
Pennywise is very creepy (2 more)
Children were fantastic
It was funny
Wow!
I love the original film and was so unsure whether anyone but Tim Curry could play Pennywise, however I was very wrong Bill Skarsgard is amazing and so creepy!! I am a big Stephen King fan and hoped they could do it justice and they so did. I don't think it is as scary as the trailers depict, gory and creepy yes, but scary, no. I laughed, I jumped and I found myself watching the movie with no toilet breaks and thinking surely it can't be over yet! A well made and totally great film, doing justice to both Stephen King and Pennywise the Dancing Clown.

Robin Williams is fantastic in Aladdin during the 1990's Disney Renaissance
This film just makes me melancholic now watching the sheer genius Robin Williams as the Genie. To improvise the character to such an extent just goes to show Williams' incredible talent.
The animation itself is the first time to feature a non-white Disney princess, hence it is important to show the significance of characters from BAME backgrounds. It's disappointing to hear that the movie version is going to be whitewashed.
It is funny, clever, and is part of the 'Disney Renaissance' - a hip new sensibility to animated features and which still stands up in the age of Pixar and DreamWorks thanks largely to RW.

I didn’t realise that this would be as funny and as serious (at the same time!) as it was. What a life Tonya Harding has had. I remember hearing about the attack on Nancy Kerrigan and thinking how awful it was (I must have been about 19 - this film also made me feel ‘mature’). It was good to see the story behind that attack. It’s quite sad really, and I think that came across really well.
I thought the actors were really well chosen - Margot Robbie really was a surprise. Isn’t only ever seen her as Harley Quinn, and Tonya Harding is really NOT Harley Quinn!
This is worth a watch. Very entertaining.

After reading The Martian and loving it, I was super excited to read this book. I got through Artemis really quickly, but I think it’s because I kept hoping for something interesting to happen.
The whole concept of a settlement on the moon is cool, and I enjoyed exploring that. The main character, Jazz, is not a very likable or relatable character. Her jokes weren’t funny and the way she interacted with other characters was boring. The other characters weren’t very memorable or well-developed. The heist scenario seemed promising, but really fell flat.
Honestly the book wasn’t terrible, but if you're expecting an awesome, scientific, space-life read like The Martian you’ll be disappointed.

Adam Sandler has been pretty prolific recently thanks to a contract with Netflix. This most recent film involves a team up with long time collaborator Chris Rock as fathers of the bride and groom, respectively.
Obviously, based on the actor choice, this is a comedy. So the question is: Is it funny? Answer: YES! It actually is. Frankly, I've been pretty down on Sandler recently, but he still has some decent jokes to pull out. I laughed out loud hard about 5 times and chuckled or smiled quite a bit throughout.
The film was very well acted and the big scene between Sandler and his daughter is particularly touching.
It's not a masterpiece, but a decent Netflix only film.

A cautionary tale of hubristic science operating beyond the constraints of morality, and poor health and safety standards too. Stan and Ollie's latest venture is sweeping people's chimneys for them; they pitch up at the home of mad scientist Professor Noodle who is working on a rejuvenation elixir.
Not quite one of the boys' first-rate shorts - obviously there is boundless potential in the notion of Laurel and Hardy as chimney sweeps (Ollie falls down the chimney, off the roof, etc, etc, while Stan destroys the interior decorations of the house), but the mad scientist plotline feels oddly grafted on and the concluding scenes are peculiar rather than funny. First two-thirds makes the film more than worthwhile, though.

Its action-y. Stuff blows up, things fall down, crazy "that could never happen" plot. Is it entertaining? Yes. Would I watch it again on another platform? Probably. Is it going to get added to the 100 movies you must see before you doe? No.
The gist: if you like action movies and ate looking to be entertained for a bit, you won't be sad that you watched this movie.

I had a hate/love relationship with this book. I wasn't a fan of this book as I was reading it, but it made me want to keep reading to find out what was going to happen. It kept me interested, even though I wasn't liking it. But then a funny think happened, I finished the book. I wrote reviews for it, I told other people my thoughts and then I realized that I had secretly loved it the whole time. I had to go back and take back what I had said and change my reviews. I fell in love with this book and would recommend it to anyone and everyone who wants a good, quick read.
