This novella is quite raunchy I would also say it has a slight trigger warning as there is a mention of sexual child abuse. It is a very intense story with non stop action! A lot of sex is involved and sexual content and feelings, however it is an amazing story of a very deep connection between a soul mate for want of a better word.
I would recommend this book for people to read just make sure there are no children around!

Honor Among Thieves moves along at a brisk pace, using plenty of humor, which is well delivered by its humorous cast.
I was particularly worried from the trailer that this would be too focused on action and humor. Thankfully it wasn't.
Characters all have different backstories, though they are all quite predictable.
The main villain is very interesting and intense.
Action sequences are spaced out, well-choreographed, and quite clever.
Overall, Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves doesn't really do anything new or different for the fantasy adventure genre. But what it does, it does well.
Very enjoyable, and a good introduction for D&D into the world of cinema.

Charlotte (184 KP) rated Disavow (Underworld Kings) in Books
Dec 24, 2021
I am loving this work of fiction with underlying nuggets of facts spread throughout. The intricacies of relationships, loyalty and duties. This on top of amnesia, with deadly punishment for those who show disobedience, is a bit of a rollercoaster that's for sure.
Written as a standalone disavow is brilliant, romantic and suspenseful. It's part of a multi-auther series that is independently written.....what a cool way to keep things fresh and interesting.
Rosalia is our strong, female lead......she's also the one with amnesia. I really like how she has been described and portrayed. I feel for her and had my fingers crossed all the way through for her. The way she's facing so many problems head on and showing inner strength is awesome.

This is the latest in this series starring Connor Fraser and what a series it is!
No Quarter Given is a dark and gritty read that is not for the feint-hearted. It has some scenes that some may find distressing as they relate to child abuse so be warned, if this is a trigger for you, I would think before picking this up.
Having given that warning, this is intense, well written and fast paced with excellent characters but amongst the violence and tension, there is dark humour and moments of vulnerability for the main character.
This is an excellent addition to the series and thank you to Little, Brown Book Group via NetGalley for giving me the opportunity of reading and sharing my thoughts.

David McK (3562 KP) rated Extraction 2 (2023) in Movies

This one has an even longer one.
Truth be told, I'd forgotten that - at the end of the previous movie - Chris Hemsworth's Tyler Rake had fallen into the Ganges after been stabbed and shot a lot.
This picks up from that, with Rake pulled out of the water in the very first scene and spending the entirety of the first act in recovery.
It's really from Act 2 in that the action kicks off (with, seemingly, his injuries all but forgotten) as he agrees to extract a family from a prison - cue near enough 1.5 hours of virtually non stop action.
Worth a watch? Yes.
Will it win any awards? Doubt it.
