Gareth von Kallenbach (980 KP) rated the PC version of LEGO DC Super-Villains in Video Games

LEGO DC Super-Villains
LEGO DC Super-Villains
Action/Adventure
Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and Lego have teamed up again to make yet another winning entry into their Lego series of games with Lego DC Super Villains.

I got an early look at the game at E3 and San Diego Comic Con including a visit with one of the Producers as well as an interview with key members of the voice cast so I was happy to have a more well-rounded perspective of what to expect going into the final release of the game. My staff played it at PAX West and were very impressed with it as well which only lead to the anticipation to try the final game.

The game allows players to craft their own villain using the easy to use and fun character creator as you enter the world of DC in order to deliver menace.

Iconic characters ranging from Lex Luthor to Captain Cold, Cheetah, Harley Quin, The Joker, and countless others are available to play and each has their own unique set of abilities. Players can switch between character sets in a mission as the puzzles often require specific abilities to complete. Lex Luthor may have some impressive firepower with his power suit, but when agility and climbing are required you will need to have other options.

Missions are fun and ideal for gamers of all ages as defeating enemy’s results in a shower of Lego pieces which can often be used to construct items which are key to the success of a mission.

If you have ever played any of the Lego games released in the last few years; the open world setting and plethora of characters will seem familiar to you as well the family friendly fun the game will offer.

The game can be enjoyed as a co-op experience so playing with others is highly recommended as the puzzles often require a mix of action and thought to resolve.

I would suggest getting the game on one of the console platforms as I played it on a PC after playing it on consoles at conventions and I had a few issues playing on the PC from control response to some video issues.

The game offers bright and fun graphics and the sound of the game is punctuated by a top-notch voice cast who will be very familiar with fans of many of the animated DC offerings.

The game will have future DLC available which will allow even more characters to become available and increase the fun and variety of the game.

If you are a fan of Lego or DC; you will not want to miss this one.

TerraBlizzard (18 KP) rated the Xbox One version of Assassin's Creed: Odyssey in Video Games

Assassin's Creed: Odyssey
Assassin's Creed: Odyssey
2018 | Action/Adventure, Role-Playing
Little buggy for such a big game. (2 more)
Depth of character customization.
Replay value is high. Multiple endings that can be hard to achieve for certain ones.
Voice acting at times seemed forced. (0 more)
The game that brought the franchise back into good light.
A beautifull addition to the AC collection, taking the parts that worked in previous titles and combining them to a solid core story.
If you haven't played this yet, do. But bare in mind the story can take abit of getting into the first 3 hours of gameplay can be tedious to get through but once you put on the "mask" that's when the story starts to grip you so keep playing.
The story of these games have been the key to their success and this game keeps it going but love it or hate it the game is based 95% in history more than present day. With short bits of modern day play which I personally would of like to seen more of building upon the modern day creed and it's standing against the Templars. With that said Odysseus breaks the one main story line up into parts of 4 each driving you to a different goal.

Graphics are great on HD, so this gives me hope for those with 4k screens and High spec consoles/PC set ups to enjoy a beautifully crafted world.

Gives you a taste of what you can play in the full version. (0 more)
PC/windows version is incomplete and ends at area 8 plus it has none of the events (0 more)
It's better on an android tablet
So, I played this on facebook and hated it because it slowed everything down and glitched too often to be truly fun.
I then found it for windows phone and downloaded it. It plays really well and is good fun for a click and wait game. Set your characters to tasks to earn and unlock other characters and buildings from Quahog.
Sadly, windows support for the game is non-existent and you cannot unlock area 9 which means your progress stalls and stops.
You can spend real money on the game in windows, which is utterly pointless as you can only buy stuff which is unlocked up to area 8. I cannot stress enough DO NOT SPEND MONEY ON THE WINDOWS VERSION.
If, however, you have an Android phone or tablet, have at it. Limited time events run often to add new fun elements to the game. It is supported with regular updates and bug fixes, all areas can be unlocked and all characters can be earned by watching videos to earn clams (in-game currency) if you are patient enough to wait for them.

5 Minute Movie Guy (379 KP) created a post in Smashbomb Feedback

Jul 1, 2019
I think there should be some sort of incentive for uploading pictures on Smashbomb. Since joining just a few days ago, I've probably uploaded over 200 photos on here. I've done it because the galleries are mostly barren, and it's easy enough for me to fix that considering I have so many movie screenshots saved to my PC from my own website, however given that it takes a while to upload the pictures and I don't get anything out of it, why should I bother at all? I'm all for helping out the community, but I do think we should be rewarded for putting time and effort into this.

However, I also recognize that it could be an easy way for people to exploit the Kudos system, and that could be a big problem. I used to be a part of a wiki-style website community before, and people would upload thousands of pictures for maximum points, and that seemed pretty unfair to me. What if you earned 1 Kudos point for every 10 approved pictures you submit? That's low enough that I don't think anyone would go to great lengths to abuse it, while also giving people a little something for the trouble.

I'm curious to know your thoughts on the matter. Let me know what you think!

Currently, the main incentive is follower/KP based. When you upload images to an item, you are credited with that addition forever with a name-stamp on the image, and a prompt for other users to give KP (and follow you) - see image.
One thing we were considering for this is 1KP for any user uploading images to an item that doesn't already have any images, regardless of the number of images uploaded to that item.

Appreciate community feedback on that?
