Disturbing vision of the near future
Finally got around to watching this series after seeing very high reviews for it. I haven't read the book and didn't know anything about the story beforehand. It's an interesting if dark and disturbing vision of western society being taken back a couple of hundred years. I did find some of the mid season episodes a bit slow and less dramatic at times. Overall though an excellent series.

I'm not quite sure what I expected from this book when I started reading it. One of the reviews on the back said something along the lines of it being a Little House on the Prairie for grown ups. Now that I've finished the book I would have to say that is quite an accurate assessment of it! The stories are so unimaginable that at times I forgot that I was reading about real people. This was a fascinating quick read.

I like it, but I'm ready for something better.
Let's face it, Goodreads is the best known book cataloging social site there is. However, like all sites, once they get too big or acquired by a major company, they start to go downhill. That's what's happened with Goodreads. Now it's almost impossible for me to keep up with the people I actually want to keep up with, the ads are annoying, and it keeps eating my reviews.
Definitely need an alternative.

this novel was well written and imaginative. many others rated it merely 1 star or gave it bad reviews. the only way to account for their disappointment is to assume they were simply expecting something different. I went into this read with no expectations. zero. zilch. there's no way the author could've compared this story to the success of the first. it was what it was, a fun way to celebrate 10yrs. I applaud her effort and enjoyed every page. well done.

It has been a LONG time since I have done any writing outside of my reviews (journaling/poetry/creative ramblings) and in just a few days of reading these devotions, my passion was reignited and the encouragement is exhilarating! I really enjoyed the prayer at the end of each devotion entry. The prompts and activities are excellent to motivate those creative juices. This is a very good film. I’m glad that I watched the film regardless of reviews I had read. I feel that it’s a very good storyline to portray as there are so many cases of trafficking in the world. It shows the double standards that exist how can police and people of authority be allowing this to be going on. Not going to spoil anything but would recommend watching

Emotional rollercoster

I knew who queen are and thought I knew who freddie was but this showed me the highs and many lows of his life and through it all the amazing music of queen.i have seen some reviews where they criticised the lip syncing but you don't really notice it and the lead has really manages to capture Freddie I wouldnt expect an actor to also be able to sing like Freddie.
Overall a really emotional film and really worth a watch.

So seeing reviews of this on Facebook from my US friends and seeing clips on YouTube has blown my mind. I am invested, who is behind the masks? We may have spent more time than sensible discussing this but this is a great fun concept.
