First half: 2 stars
Second half: 4 stars
Overall rating: 3 (and a quarter) stars, simply because of how exciting that second half was.

So it's taken me almost a month to read this. Which is ridiculous really, but this isn't my usual genre of book. I like my books to have romance/sex in them and there is a little but not enough to keep me interested in the book for just that.
The first half was a bit boring for me. It was going too slow, plodding along at it's own merry pace but then as soon as we get into the toad-demon and the shadowman and the storms, I was well dragged into the story.
I think I may just be interested enough to carry on with this series.

I'm pretty sure the thought process for Drive Angry was along the lines of "let's make a film where Nicolas Cage has a gunfight whilst fucking someone, and he's also smoking a cigar, and swigging on a bottle of Jack Daniels" and then they just wrote the rest of the screenplay around that.
It's always entertaining to watch Cage do his thing, and Drive Angry has a handful of fun moments and some half decent ideas, but dammit, it's too try hard in its attempts at bad-assery, the CGI is an eyesore, and this is the second film I've seen where writer Todd Farmer literally wrote himself into a gratuitous sex scene. It was weird the first time, second time its just plain creepy.
Drive Angry is the movie equivalent of an STI.

Hmm
This was so promising for so long but my interest started waning at about the 60% mark. It wasn't as exciting anymore and the sex scenes didn't do anything for me in regards to their relationship.
Logan seemed to be in permanent emotional pain, which annoyed me a bit, since Jin seemed to be coping so much easier with it all and he was the one who was most likely to die if something happened. Now the Logan of about the 90% mark? Now that is a character I would have loved to see throughout the book. He was fun, and seemed to love teasing Jin--which I loved.
I would be interested in continuing the series to see what else these two and the pack get up to.

2.75 stars. My feelings more or less mirror Baba's review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show/714660908?book_show_action=false&from_review_page=1
The beginning was really good, I got excited at the thought of the sexts they were sending to each other at the airport and then when they finally got around to the sex...it was later on after they'd revealed themselves to the other that I started to lose interest, it went too soppy and at the same time they both became really insecure. I was ready to give up about the 81% but it was so close to being over that I skimmed through the rest.
I did enjoy the flirtation between Wes and Rubi and would like to see what happens between those two but I'm not in any hurry.

Well I might like my short stories but I should be wary if freebies--many of them or good, but some I just don't like/can't get into--and that was the case with this one.
It didn't hold enough romance for me. I get lust and that seemed what this was but the fact that they'd known each other three days and had sex all of those three days and suddenly wanted to be together...it just didn't ring true to me. Added in that erotica isn't my favourite genre and the spelling of "come" as "cum" pees me off, I wasn't exactly enjoying it that much.
The crime side of the story didn't hold my attention either, and I felt the ending was rather sudden.
Not for me.
