"The tragedy of this movie strikes out of nowhere and yet remains completely inevitable, which is the best sort of storytelling. It captures how sex is dangerous in a visceral gut punch. Even though this is very much a period piece, the themes remain timelessly disturbing. And the haunting sound design of the clinking ice-covered branches stayed with me long after the film ended."

Beauty and the Beast has always been my favorite Disney movie and this recreation certainly brought it justice. I also appreciated that we got more of a backstory as it answered questions I had from the first film like "Why does no one remember the prince is he was cursed not too long ago". The storytelling, visuals, and music were stunning and it is a must-see!

Let me say up front that this wasn’t the best movie I’ve ever seen. The storytelling was a little on the sloppy side, the pacing slow in parts- no pun intended. But it made me feel all kinds of things, positive and negative. And I went out and joined a gym after seeing it. Emotional response and personal motivation from a two-hour theater experience? Denis Villeneuve effectively presents a Sci-Fi film with as much heart as it does terrifying visuals. Amy Adams is an absolute powerhouse and deserved recognition from the Academy in this film. Brilliant cinematography throughout, bookended by remarkable writing. A must-see for Science Fiction fans. 10/10

I'm glad this movie finally came to my town and I was able to see.

Although I remember "the incident" and the media frenzy, I either forgot or never took the time to immerse myself in the details while it was going on in the 90s.


I thought the acting throughout was top notch led by Margot Robbie and Allison Janney. They really got lost in their roles and you forgot you were watching them.


There is enough emotional material and unique storytelling where some of the characters break the fourth wall and speak to the camera which keeps the viewer engaged throughout the story.


I was sort of torn to feel pity or empathy for Tonya or dislike what she knew, when she knew it and how she chose to keep silent.


Highly recommended.

Excellent Fantasy Series
I love Robin Hobb's books because they are all amazing. The Assassin's Apprentice is the first book in The Farseer trilogy and it's an excellent series. This is the book that starts it all and it is interesting with complex characters and wonderful storytelling. It's an excellent fantasy series and she has later books that involve more adventures with Fitz and the Fool that are equally brilliant.

Great!
This was a really really good movie. I love Ryan Reynolds and he doesn't disappoint in this one, either. This film was full of intense action, wonderful acting and remarkable storytelling. A very thought provoking, intriguing tale about life and death, second chances and redemption. It had a couple of good twists and turns(and one or two predictable parts). This one is really REALLY worth a watch!
