Amazing for a small gathering or larger with some tweeking. Great way to find out just how horrible of friends you have. I wish we would play it more though. And buying expansions give you plenty of options to help keep the game fresh!
Red Otter (340 KP) rated Targi in Tabletop Games
Jun 6, 2019
Targi is a 2-player game where players play as opposing desert tribes. Both sides try to collect as many points, either through grabbing additional VP tokens or by gathering various tribe cards. These tribe cards belong to one of 5 sets, with additional points for gathering sets, either of the same kind or one of each.
The game is played with a with an ever changing 5x5 grid of goods and tribe cards, with a outer ring of cards that can almost ways been selected. A robber goes around blocks off some of the outer rings of cards and serves as a timer for the game. The worker placement portion is interesting, 3 workers are placed on the outside ring, and the intersections they create between themselves are where you ace your next two.
Targi is a relatively simple game with depth. It requires outthinking your opponent as it is relatively easy to deny the other player what they want, but not necessarily get what you need at the same time. The balance comes from trying to acquire points while at the same time getting the resources to buy those cards in the first placrz especially with the heavy emphasis on points from set collections. A great game for couples

A fun press your luck pick up and deliver with bluffing
A good game. Essentially you fly around on a broom getting resources to drop off where they are needed but you have be daring and first at some. Gathering points as you go. The game is deeper than it should be and fun with more people. I can see why it won awards.

Second of an epic series
Contains spoilers, click to show
The book series to me will always bet better becuase of the detail it uses but, yet again the acting is spectacular in this sequel to Fellowship of The Ring. The story continues with our hero making his way to Mordor while the rest try to protect him in other ways by gathering an army. The story does introduce us to Gollom one of the most tragic characters in all of the stories (in my opinion) He plays a pivotal roles in the second and third books. Don't want to spoil it for you but, read the books to get a better point of view of his character.

Great fun to play with friends
Favourite game!
I love playing Minecraft I have a survival world with lots of things built and a creative world where I usually build stuff before I build on my survival world so I know how it will look before I waste time gathering the resources. There are so many YouTube videos that can help with ideas and give you amazing tips!

Fun Adventure With Friends
The game is so much fun to play. It's more fun playing with friends and working as a team to take down monsters. The different areas are beautiful and fun to explore. Gathering resources is pretty straightforward and you can craft items and armor. While the gameplay doesn't hold your hand every step of the way, it is very well done. There's always something to do and it's great doing it all with friends and other players.

Caffeinated Fae (464 KP) rated Son (The Giver, #4) in Books

Wow, just wow.
Lois Lowry has weaved yet another wonderful story. This book takes the characters from "The Giver," "Gathering Blue, and "Messenger" and formed a truly amazing book. This novel offers the reader answers to many questions that have been left unanswered.
There were points during this book that dragged but all in all it was fantastic. I am pleasantly surprised with the novel. I never realized how much this series has meant to me until I reached the last 90 pages. I didn't want to read the rest because then the novel would be over.
All in all I highly recommend this book to anyone who has wondered what happened to Jonas and Gabe.
I might have to reread the whole series again.
