Not a Great Watch
Contains spoilers, click to show
I watched this with a open mind and no idea of what i was letting myself in for. Its a pakistani horror film that mixes Pet Sematary and The Omen, though to no good effect. Its too laid down with pointless scenes and monologues. I gave it a 3 rating as the idea was good and Pari (the girl of the title seemed to relish her part
AT (1676 KP) rated Hinamatsuri Vol. 1 in Books
Mar 12, 2019 (Updated Mar 12, 2019)
I don't know about this one. I'm not sure if it has an anime series, or if it's just a manga, but this first volume leaves a lot to be desired. (I just looked, and I guess there is an anime series. I hope it's better!) It's fine in some parts, and in others, the story seems to just appear out of nowhere. It may have potential, but volume 2 won't be moved to the top of my reading pile.

Surprisingly good
I wasn't planning on watching this movie but my wife heard good things about it so we checked it out. It had a good cast and was rather uplifting. I'm usually not into movies with an over the top message but it was engaging and very poignant. I left watching the movie and felt myself rooting for the main character. I would definitely recommend seeing the movie.

what a good read, this is the second book I've read from this author and they just keep getting better. I loved the story line and the characters. the characters chemistry worked really well throughout the book. the book was well written, I was hooked by the first page and couldn't put it down. can't wait to start another one of jasmine lee's books, defiantly one of my new top favourite authors.

Jason Momoa
Best Superhero Film to Date
I have to say that before I watched Aquaman, my favorite superhero was Superman. The classic Christopher Reeve persona of Superman to be precise. But when I took my dad to see Aquaman for his birthday, that all changed. It's a fun loving film, great for any fans of action, superheroes and Jason Momoa. The special effects were spectacular. This movie has snuck up to be in my top 20 movies of all time.

Unorthodox Problem Solving
Weird use of teeth
Representation and a caste system that is broken. Crows are at the bottom but without them the world would die of disease.
Characters are represented subtlety and you almost miss it. It is woven so seamlessly into the plot.
The Princess Bride meets Six of Crows and together they burn the world down.
If you enjoy the As You Wish of Princess Bride than this needs to be on the top of your list.

I was shockingly wowed!
The original tv movie was a classic horror movie in its own right but this one is a masterpiece. When it was over I was wowed by the factor that I honestly didn't think this movie could top the original tv movie but I have been wrong before and this new take on Stephen Kings IT was thrillingly crafted into a masterpiece. We need more horror movies like this.
Mark @ Carstairs Considers (2478 KP) rated Killer Blonde (A Jaine Austen Mystery, #3) in Books
Mar 9, 2018
Jaine has taken a job ghost writing a party planning book, but SueEllen, her new boss, turns out to be horrible. But when the police begin focusing on a murdered SueEllen's step-daughter, Jaine steps in to find the killer. While the characters can be a bit shallow, they work in this laugh out loud, over the top, comedic mystery.

Mar 9, 2018
A trip through the cold case files leads Dr. Mark Sloan to think that a copy cat serial killer is out there. Is he right, or is he going to get himself and son Steve in big trouble? Any fan of the show will love this book. The mystery is great and all the main characters (including Jack) are in top form.

Mark @ Carstairs Considers (2478 KP) rated Set Sail for Murder in Books
Mar 9, 2018
Living legend Polly Pepper joins her fellow cast members from her TV show on a cruise to relive their glory days. However, the first night out, one of the co-stars is murdered. This is the fourth in the series, and the characters were still over the top fun, however the plot was very easy to figure out.
