Let down by the ending
I don't tend to watch crime dramas on terrestrial tv, mainly because there's far too many. However there was something about the adverts for Deadwater Fell that really drew me in, and overall I'm glad I gave it a go.

This is a rather intriguing drama that's rather atmospheric and really draws you in. It has a great cast, and honestly I'll watch anything with David Tennant in it. As far as the outcome of the story goes, it keeps you guessing for the entire 4 episode run. However the problem is with the outcome and ending itself. It's entirely predictable and exactly what you'd expected from earlier in the series, and it's such a letdown. I was hoping for some sort of twist but this was sadly missing and it's such a shame as the rest of the series was rather good. They really needed to come up with a better ending!

Personally, I really liked this film. It was funny, the plot moved quickly, the characters were sound and the twist wasn't as noticeable as I originally thought. I am glad I didn't see it in theaters, but I'm glad I watched it overall. I wasn't disappointed. Kristin Stewart's Sabina was probably my favorite character. I thought Sam Claflin was hilarious, though he never fails to make me laugh. Naomi Scott first came on my radar when she was in Lemonade Mouth on the Disney Channel and I loved that film and have loved her since so to see her in a film like this, with a great cast, female-led, directed by a female, I was extremely happy.

This is definitely not a film to make you think, to make you ask questions, nothing deep. It's definitely a fun movie that you can just throw on and not have to work too hard to follow. I really enjoyed it, so take that for what it's worth.

Turgid, non-thrilling thriller based on a book by Clive Cussler (who hated the adaptation). US defence agencies invent a new missile defence system, but the minerals needed to make it work are all in a safe on the Titanic, which is at the bottom of the Atlantic (as you may have heard). Maverick action-man and salvage expert Dirk Pitts (Jordan) is put in charge of undoing all James Cameron's hard work and refloating the thing.

One of those movies which mistakes a diverting idea for a viable plot - the whys, hows and wherefores of the operation are not that interesting or credible and the film is sluggish and low on action. Most of the special effects and modelwork are also very poor (a long way sub-Gerry Anderson). Half-decent twist at the end, but hardly enough to make up for the fact that most of it is very limp and boring.
