Marinda (3 KP) rated Moana (2016) in Movies

To be fair, I honestly couldn't tell you half of what happened in this book. I do know that the world building is absolutely phenomenal, but the main character is extremely annoying and unlikable. Every time she did something I just had to roll my eyes and trudge through the rest of the chapter. Actually, most of the characters are unlikable and so wishy washy I couldn't tell where they stood half the time. Supposedly that's part of the plot but that doesn't really sit well with me as an excuse.
This book took me longer than usual to finish and I have to say that I have not one desire to read the next book.
I'd like to give this book one star but I can't because despite the crap characters the world makes up for it.

One of my favorites out of the Pirates of the Caribbean series. The plot is interesting and the action scenes are well choreographed. There are a few dull bits and parts that I wasn’t entirely a fan of, but overall a great movie. Great casting and was pleasantly surprised to see some returning cast as well.

I was extremely excited when I heard Marissa Meyer would be coming out with another book (because Lunar Chronicles was 10 out of 10, let’s be honest), even more so when I learned it was about the Queen of Hearts. Marissa Meyer’s take on the villian’s backstory is unique, though I have to say the love interest isn’t my favorite. However, I did thoroughly enjoy this book and would most definitely recommend it!
