Cool 90's vibe (1 more)
Great Soundtrack
Autobots roll out!
Another Transformers Film but this time it's more of a prequel set in '94. As with Bumblebee that had a great 80's vibe this somes up the era well. Especially with a cool RnB soundtrack to boot. Some cool SFX as always and good Action scenes make this more fun than the last outing.

One of those low budget horror films that almost feels like it could have been made in the early 80's. Very cheesey, quite funny in a way. It could almost fit the it's so bad it's good category. One for the low budget horror fan.

2 Stars. This is another of those craft books that are stuck in the 80's. Great instructions but let down by the boring black and white dated photos. If your going to re-release a book the do it properly and bring it upto date.
Disappointing.

Another one of those great films from the 80's. Not really a horror film but certainly makes you jump. I remember going to see it at the cinema when it first came out and was so glad it was still daylight when I came out.

Cheesy 80's vibe (1 more)
Quite funny
A fun Horror Comedy
Well this Netflix original has been on my list for a while so I gave it a whirl. It's a tongue firmly in cheek horror comedy with a fair amount of gore. A young nerdy kid finds out his hot babysitter has evil plans for him.
The cast was quite cool and fun. You sense they enjoyed filming this. It is quite funny in an cheesy way, with a slight 80's horror vibe to it. Almost a horror version of Home alone. If you want a horror comedy that is quite funny check it out.

(This review can also be found on my blog: All the Ups and Downs).
Wow! I loved this book and was sad when it ended. I really didn’t know what to make of it when I read the book blurb. It just didn’t sound like something I’d like. How wrong I was!
I saw this book sitting in my local library and decided to give it a chance. I’m glad I did!
I loved the characters! I don’t wish I knew a bit more backstory about each of them, but it didn’t deter me from the book. I loved Art3mis the most.
I loved the setting of the book and everything that goes on in the OASIS. I felt like I was there a lot of them through Cline’s descriptive writing.
There are so many 80’s references in this book. It helps if you are big on 80’s pop culture. I feel like it would give you more of an advantage in picturing what Cline describes.
Sometimes the 80’s pop culture references were a bit much as was all the technology speak, but I wasn’t put off by the book.
The writing is fantastic as is the plot! I hated the Sixers and Sorrento so much and wanted them to fail.
I would say this book is better suited for those 16 or older due to the language. Adults will enjoy it too not only because of all the nostalgic 80’s feels, but also because it’s just a great book.
I would definitely recommend this book. I was totally immersed in Ready Player One. I think most people would enjoy it especially those who grew up in/around the 80’s and those that are gamers.
