Where do I start with this book?

To be honest, I nearly didn’t make it to the end. It started off quite well but then quickly descended into something ridiculous which had me laughing at its absurdity - the nymphomaniac? Don’t even go there!! However, I have been “told off” for reviewing a book I have not finished before so I persevered. I must admit to heaving a sigh of relief when I had finished and thought it was a pile of rubbish and I was going to write a review straight away but I didn’t have time, so have left it a couple of days and I am glad I did because I have had time to digest and reflect on what I have read and have changed my mind.

I think this is a cleverly written book which appears one thing at the start but becomes something completely different by the end and all the bits that seemed preposterous suddenly made sense. I can’t say too much as I don’t want to give the game away but I will say that this book is not as it seems so I advise anyone who reads it to keep going to the end and then let it sink in for a while.

Thank you to the publisher, Hocus Pocus Publishing Inc and Netgalley for providing me with a copy in return for an honest and unbiased review.

I was having a conversation about the things I have found in used books, and I was wondering what some of your coolest/ weirdest finds have been? My latest find was a coupon that expired in 1999.

I found a letter in the back of a book telling about the first readers thoughts......all the readers before me added their name and a little message. It was almost like a traveling book.

I have to look through all of my books before I sell them to a used bookstore because I tend to put dollars in them when I don't have pockets and have found a few in my personal books. But the coolest is finding a purchased book was a birthday note written in 1967 to the reciever.

I received a copy of this book from Netgalley and the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

This book is a fantastic collection of creepy tales. I really enjoyed it and I think kids will too.

hello fellow smashbombers. I wanted to clear something up. Is it possible to include software as a category in your next update as I use a lot of different software packages that I would love to rate. :)

"True Romance, again… a romance at heart, a young couple on the run doing crazy stuff. I think Alabama is one of the coolest characters of all time. I love the script — I think it’s so dynamic."

I'm torn about this film. I really wanted to like it a lot and I love Hugh and Rachel, but the editing for the movie was just bizarre. I could not get invested for a long time.

A must for any horror fan
Stranger Things was such a fun show to watch I binged it in one sitting and could easily watch it multiple times without minding. As some who is a horror junkie, I loved all the nods they did to the classics in the genre.

The only reason I couldn't give it a full 10/10 is the characters I hated I just truly not only hated but found really damn annoying.

and Steve Harrington

I know they each had their own part but hell I didn't like any of them.

"When I first read Flaubert's Madame Bovary, I was some years away from being married, and still a few years away from imagining I ever would be. What did the adulteries and suicide of a doctor's wife in provincial France matter to me? A lot. As my first editor once said to me, "I've known a number of adulterous women." (I didn't doubt that he had.) "But the one I know best, and will never forget, is Emma Bovary.""

"This reminds me of a bad moment, but an important moment - and I just love this song so much. I was just coming back from the 2016 Olympics in Rio when Blonde dropped, and I downloaded it as fast as I could for the flight back. I was in a really bad place [missed out on a medal], but it's such a beautiful song and brings me such emotion. It really helped me in that way."
