Snakes on a Plane - brought to you by Red Bull.
This film would have been nowhere near as enjoyable if it wasn't for Samuel L. Jackson. It's pretty bad, but I still kind of love it. Despite it's very obvious mid 00s crappy CGI, it has a kind of 90s action vibe to it. I also have an undying crush on Julianna Margulies so that also helps.
It's a whole load of faffy nonsense - B-Movie perfection, chefs kiss.

Edgar Wright Goes Fast & Furious (In a Good Way)
Edgar Wright has yet to direct a bad movie. Baby Driver doesn't ruin his streak, but it doesn't quite raise the bar. It does do something new, for Wright at least, in transposing his humor and musicality on top of more mature and serious subject matter. The issue is that the story isn't as original or creative as his previous works. Instead, the creativity and originality exists in the way the movie is executed. Bank heists, a getaway driver, and the shadowy mastermind are all well-worn tropes; but Wright sets it all to an eclectic and rhythmic soundtrack that drives the movie forward. Baby Driver is masterfully edited to sync up with the rhythm of the music, for the first two-thirds at least, until it devolved into a bit of a frantic mess. I almost wonder if that was intentional, however, as it perfectly mirrors Baby's situation. In the first two acts he is calm, in control, and driving to the music on his many iPods. In the third act, his predicament devolves into a disaster beyond his control, and he is knocked out of the rhythm he normally operates in. In the end, none of Baby Driver is bad or poorly done, it just isn't quite as memorable as the Cornetto Trilogy or Scott Pilgrim.

Matthew Krueger (10051 KP) rated London Has Fallen (2016) in Movies

London's: Big Ben Bridge
I forgot that olympus has fallen got a sequel and this was the sequel. Did anyone remeber that this movie came out? Does anyone remeber this movie and what happened in it. No, well thats what happens when a forgetable sequel to a fogetable movie with forgetable chacters comes out. So in words its forgetable.
The plot: After the death of the British prime minister, the world's most powerful leaders gather in London to pay their respects. Without warning, terrorists unleash a devastating attack that leaves the city in chaos and ruins. Secret Service agent Mike Banning (Gerard Butler) springs into action to bring U.S. President Benjamin Asher (Aaron Eckhart) to safety. When Asher falls into the hands of the sinister organization, it's up to Banning to save his commander in chief from a horrible fate.
What was the last Gerard Butler movie that was good and you can watch from beginning to end and think its not stupid. Oh 300, right. That came out in 2007, so ever movie since has been bad and cant watch watch the whole film without thinking its stupid and dumb.
Wait a 3rd movie is coming out this coming week, why? Were the first 2 movies succesful, i guess so because "Angel Has Fallen" is coming out this friday.

Carma (21 KP) rated Avengers: Infinity War (2018) in Movies

A great big cast of heroes take on the big bad Mad Titan
Infinity War was promised to be the big hero movie of the year. Reading from the comics it was looking like a bloodbath, I was curious to see how it would translate to the movies. It didn't slack on fight scenes, just about every represented Avenger was involved in at least 1 fight. Seeing Cap in his Nomad suit and facial hair was enough to get this girl's heart pumping. I preferred IW to Endgame with this being more action filled overall. While IW is darker than a normal avengers movie, it is with a purpose. This isn't a movie where the normal quips and jokes would fit in. While I didn't like the fact that the heroes were spread out over the world, I understand in the bigger scheme of things that it was needed. A great lead in movie to Endgame's payoff.

Kim Pook (101 KP) rated Mean Girls 2 (2011) in Movies
Jul 21, 2020
After moving schools twice a year for 8 years, Jo finally starts in her last school before going to university and of course it wouldn't be a mean girls movie without a new set of plastics tormenting anyone who gets in their way. The plastics main target is a girl named a by who has no friends, when they find out that new girl Jo has befriended abby (after being bribed to by abbys father) they set Jo as their new target and you know this isn't going to end well.
I found the plastics in this movie more petty than mean and I half expected at least a mention of anything from the original mean girls but there wasn't. Literally all we get is the plastics name which was disappointing especially as its the same principle, they could have given us at least something not even a cady mention!
The movie isn't too bad but I do feel it would have been better off as a standalone movie as there was nothing mean girls about it.
