Oh, yawn: yet another movie about a middle-aged choir mistress with a secret identity as a longbow-toting eco-terrorist (Green Arrow, if you will). Various exploits and close shaves with the heroine being pursued across country by helicopters, drones and dogs ensue, until the prospect of motherhood gives her pause.

How much of this film you can take probably depends on your capacity for self-conscious quirkiness. Quite apart from the main thrust of the plot, the film includes an identical twin, a comedy subplot about a hapless tourist who keeps getting nicked by the cops (through a series of weird coincidences he's always in the area when our heroine strikes), and, oddest of all, a device where the people providing the soundtrack (a three-piece band and a Ukrainian choir) keep appearing in shot and occasionally interacting with the story. The results are certainly memorable, but the plot becomes increasingly preposterous and what point it's all supposed to be making is a little unclear. Certainly diverting, and rather entertaining, though.

Confused
Let's face it, any film released nowadays with Liam Neeson as the main character is likely to be very similar to everything else he's done recently and also pretty poor. And sadly Cold Pursuit is no different.

The plot isn't anything new. It's Liam Neeson getting revenge on people again. Admittedly the setting and scenery are beautiful, it's just a shame the rest of the film can't live up to it I found the entire film very confused and wasn't entirely sure if it was meant to be a thriller, an action or a black comedy - it had aspects of all three and sadly not all of them worked, especially the humour. It was all a bit weird. And I adore Tom Bateman but his American accent in this is far too odd and I cringed every time he was on screen. And then there's the wasted Laura Dern and the pointless cops.

This is vaguely entertaining, but it dips in the middle and sadly suffers from a few acting faults and confusion on what genre it seems to lie in.

408. Bad Boys for Life. I thought this was part 4, I think it's the Mandela Effect! I'm telling ya!! I guess the line "I'm getting to old for this shit" can only be said in Lethal Weapon, Martin Lawrence's character I think says every combination possible of that phrase. So in this one we get super sexy Isabel breaking out of the joint, and she has a hit list, all those peeps responsible for putting her away is about to get a visit, the last name on the list, our hero cop Mike Lowrey!! Now even though Marcus is ready to retire, he's pulled in for one more job! Well, until the real part 4 comes out! So why does super sexy Isabel want with Mike? Well, I won't tell you, but I can say conveniently enough, those events took place right before the original Bad Boys. They are some old ass street cops dang! Perspective... Lethal Weapon 4, Mel Gibson is ten years younger than Will Smith during Bad Boys for Life lol. It was entertaining!! Filmbufftim on FB
