"Cronenberg is a genius. He reinvented genre filmmaking, giving it the depth of the most ambitious fiction. This truly visionary work must be one of his masterpieces. When it was released, I couldn’t believe my eyes. I couldn’t believe a filmmaker could have not just captured the very soul of our present, or its hidden meaning, but also found its poetry, the mysterious beauty of it. eXistenZ, shot fifteen years later in a very different world, echoes it in fascinating ways. I consider David Cronenberg to be one of the great modern artists."

"My daughter Tyson and I went to hear Allende talk in Stockholm at Kulturhuset, which was great. I love her so much, and often think about her telling us how in the first days of January every year she starts a new book. I adore the picture of her always dressed up to the nines in heels and makeup, walking out to her shed in back of her garden... like a warrior going into battle... and then giving like people me a chance to fly with those tales... “Daughter of Fortune” is a fantastic adventure."

This kept me guessing from the first page. We don't figure out what she's doing at the police station for quite a few pages and it just goes from there. It was very intriguing. I can't say too much without giving the story away.

I liked the budding romance between Liva--strange name, so I had to mentally change it to Livia all the time--and Jaime but I would have loved them to finish what they started about 80% in. It'd been building for so long!! Nevertheless, I really liked this book.

Having read all of Giovanna's books I thought this was worth giving a go. I was really pleased I did. Although not targeted for my age range, it was still a really solid book and I would recommend it to anyone. The fact that they both wrote the book is wonderful and you can tell who wrote what, which I like because it gives the book more character. The story is interesting and I cant wait for the next one.

Giving this film a rating of 1 is much more than it deserves. An absolute mess of a film from minute one, dialogue that was probably written by a 4 year old..ridiculous unscary monsters and actors with as much charisma and personality as a broken teapot.

The previous Doom movie they did was pretty bad but compared to this it's an oscar winning masterpiece.I dont know what possessed me to watch this but hope this review will make sure others avoid the torture of this film.

This book took me forever, and I mean I think this is the longest I have ever spent on a book without giving up on it. It wasn't the story,it was me! Honestly! I become overwhelmed! I couldn't quite decide if this book was disturbingly amazing or I was amazingly disturbed by it...I quite possibly both! I lost count of the amount of times my eyes were as big as saucers and I pulled a "oh my days!" face! I loved it and it completely grossed me out!

I have so much love for Alien
One of my favourite horror movies! The xenomorph looked fantastic and after seeing how it was all made, it makes it so much more impressive. this movie builds tension so well and Ripley is one of my favourite heroines of all time. Jones also being my favourite animal hero of all time of course. I don't think i could think of a more amazing horror monster than a chest bursting, face hugging, scary motherfucker xenomorph. it will be giving nightmares still for years to come.

I found this book on my bookcase, not quite sure how I came to possess it, but thought I would.give it a read. I like to give every book a chance, but I couldn't get into this one, I really struggled with it. The plot was flimsy, if not non existent, and the characters are totally unrelateable. It takes a lot for me to give a book only two stars, but this book managed it. I would not recommend this book and will be giving it to the charity shop.
