Boundaries are crossed between attendings and interns as well with patients which creates a downward spiral of emotions. Heartbreak, tragedy, personal growth, and a thirst for knowledge drive the interns to do the unthinkable. The stakes are raised during surgery when a dangerous item is found inside the body of a patient.

No growth!
Our main character, Fleur, floats around from funeral to funeral to find men she can gold dig, which could have been a very interesting plot. That is where the positivity of this review ends. I think that Sophie Kinsella chooses to use the pen name Madeline Wickam when she wants to write something depressing, slow, and disappointing. Fleur had NO personal growth. Every character was a terrible person except for the man she was swindling, which made you want to slap him for even falling for Fleur at all.

The unique style in which this book was written was great. I loved discovering along with Amy & Roger all the places they traveled. Meeting friends along the way. I was glad for the personal growth and discoveries they made in their travels too. The song lyrics as titles was also great I loved when they finally made sense in each chapter.

This novel is truly amazing. The interpersonal relationships are detailed and vivid. The characters are extremely realistic and relatable. The plot is unique and the treatment of common situations in unconventional and unexpected ways is terrific. To me, the best part, is the exploration of pre-conceived notions of how one should feel and act, and how through time, shared experiences and personal growth, that changes and evolves. I loved it so much I will give a copy to my mother-in-law.
I love anthologies. Especially ones that don't have to go with the rest of the series just expands upon the universe. Unlike some you have to read or you know you're missing something crucial between books 3 and 4( for example). There are spoilers in this anthology however Patricia Briggs does a good job letting you know and where the stories fit inside the Mercy and Alpha and Omega universe. My favorite is the Ben story Redemption out of all her characters he has the most personal growth.

A tale about speed dating wth a twist, this is a beautiful story of personal growth & acceptance.

This book was a really enjoyable read.
Ultimately a love story, but also a story of loss, dealing with grief, betrayal and personal growth set in a beautiful landscape.
It was an easy read, despite a slightly slow start and once the characters met, the story seemed to pick up and was certainly more engaging.
I loved the format of the writing, the back and forth between Zoe and Martins stories was done very well and even with the retelling of certain parts from the different perspective, the story moved on perfectly.
The extra characters were also great additions, whilst not detracting from the main story of the two main characters.
I would definitely recommend this book.

This October is proving to be a busy one for Megan Sawyer. Not only is it harvest season on her farm, but the town of Winsome is putting on an Oktoberfest celebration, and her restaurant is one of the major sponsors. Things take a deadly turn when one of the local pub owners is killed in a freak accident. Only Megan doesn’t think it was an accident. When the police are quick to rule out the possibility of murder, it’s up to Megan to figure out what is really happening.
I loved the first book in the series and was anxious to return to Winsome and the characters. This book didn’t disappoint in the least. The characters continue to be strong, and the growth between books as well as the growth here was nice to see. The new characters were just as strong. Megan’s personal life provided a nice sub-plot while leaving plenty of time for the murder investigation, which included some great twists and turns.

This third book featuring Evan is fantastic. The pace is fast with plenty of twists and setbacks, yet I love how things came together at the end. You really have to read this series in order, not only to appreciate the background on the story told here but also to appreciate the character growth in Evan. He’s a complex character, and I love watching him change. The rest of the cast is fantastic, too, and the writing paints his world without slowing down the story. Truly a wonderful book.
