i avoided this film like the plague, i generally make a rule of never watching remakes or redo's, but i was pleasantly surprised with this film, it didn't tell you how he became spider man, because come off it we all know how it happened, i really enjoyed it, which made a refreshing change ?

At times, it is easy to forget that everything the light touches has been created by a computer, and for all its visual spectacle and technical merit, the end result is one which feels empty and, like so many of the new Disney remakes, pointless.

O. M. G. It was cheesy and amazing. I loved this one, The cameos were fun, and I thought that the four of them worked great together. I'm a stickler for remakes, and I can understand why some people get a bit tetchy about them... but honestly, this one wasn't as bad a they'd have had you think.

When it comes to remakes or re-visions of old films I often find myself asking why? But as the original 1990 It felt very restrained and safe there really was room for potential with this adaptation. It is extremely watchable and enjoyable

Well put together
Im a disnerd not going to lie and with all the live action remakes this was a welcomed animation, wouldnt say its as good as the first one however if you enjoy a family movie night i would definitely give it a go. As a family we enjoyed it alot. Plus you see the princesses in a different light which i enjoyed.

Great casting
Perfect
As a huge disney fan I’m always sceptical about live action remakes (dont talk to me about Cinderella!) but this was amazing! The casting is perfect! Who knew Emma Watson could sing! I’m a big Potter fan too so was nervous about seeing ‘Hermione’ in this type of role, but was so pleased I liked it. Great film ?

"Curse of the Werewolf, Oliver Reed. Hammer Films. Hammer did all these fabulous horror films after Unviversal. Hammer really became the guardian of the horror genre and between Peter Cushing, Christopher Lee, and Oliver Reed also, they did so many remakes and Curse of the Werewolf was terrific. There was a voluptuous vixen who winds up being thrown into a cell and getting banged by some questionable beast."

I don't read
I don't watch a lot of remakes, especially horror remakes, especially modern horror remakes, but on the advice of a friend, I thought I would give it a try.

If you want to start an argument with me, please say the book is better simply because it is different the film. I double dare you. Books and movies are different mediums, therefore, certain elements may lend themselves to one medium better than the other. Did you really want to see young Beverly Marsh have an orgy with the other It kids right after their conquest of Pennywise (or something like that)? I didn't think so. Sometimes changing things is all right and not automatically bad just because it is different!

OK got that off my chest! 😌

So it was 80-90% the same as the 1989 version? That was all right with me this time around. The acting and use of modern CGI effects were good and fit this film well. The CGI was not overused, so my usual complaint about that is unfounded this time. The major plot change for this film I felt was a great idea and kept the audience confused as to them already thinking they knew what was going to happen during that one particular scene.

The ending was somewhat gruesome, but this is a horror movie after all so I enjoyed it.

A pretty decent effort of a remake of the original Thai film. It compares well and the scenes are very similar, but the Thai version was more jumpy and creepy for me. Though that could be partly put down to knowing what was coming. The imagery of the ghost girl is no way as scary as the Grudge, Ring remakes. Enjoyable film well made and featuring a recognizable cast including Rachael Taylor from Transformers.

Join me, a horror fanatic, in film discussions, gruesome polls and share your reviews.

Since the age of 4 I have watched horror, it has become my life. I still have a DVD collection of over 400 horror films, my pride and joy. I love reviewing new additions but my speciality is remakes.

No-one does it better than the original gang.
