Erika (17789 KP) rated Jumanji (1995) in Movies

This movie scared the sh** out of me when I saw it in theaters. I ran out of the theater crying, and my mom had to convince me to finish watching it so I could see that it worked out in the end. Though, I was only 7, but after that, I had nightmares about being changed into a monkey for years. So, thanks for that, Jumanji. I actually haven't watched this movie as an adult, so maybe I should give it another chance. Robin Williams was the best part of the movie.

Fantastic Film and Stunning Score
I saw this movie in IMAX and it made the film even more impactful. I thought the cinematography was stunning and the score was absolutely fantastic. Seeing it in IMAX was a little overwhelming at times, however, I think that made it even memorable. This was actually the first war film I've seen in its entirety and it was an amazing first one to see! The minimal dialogue really made the film feel more real and was a great addition.

I actually really enjoyed this film. I have a special place in my heart for medical mysteries and was intrigued when I saw this was based on a true story. I hadn't heard anything about this girl or her disease before watching this, so I can honestly say I learned something too! I think the main actress did a really great job portraying the symptoms and the breakdown of the main character. Overall an 8/10 for me because as I loved the story, it did drag in a few places.

I saw this one on Amazon. It was pretty creepy once it got past the slow start. The storyline itself was pretty interesting. It was ultimately about secret governmental testing on people in the past. The characters were ok. Not a lot of depth to them but the acting is mediocre. The effects and camera tricks could've been a little better but they conveyed everything well enough. Overall I'd recommend it if you're into creepy ghost stories. Worth a watch.

For such a short book this was pleasant to listen to - I saw the movie ages ago and I honestly remembered nothing of the end of this book - I didn't realize it was a series either - kind of makes me want to read the rest. The psychology around this character and the whole book was epic and Norman is kind of a villain you love in a way - or at least for me - it also kind of makes me want to watch the movie again. A must read I'd say if you've seen movie.

I saw this as part of a secret film festival so didn’t know much about it going in, I think I would have liked it just a bit more if I had known it was a true story at the beginning rather then at the end, I would have understood the point more. That said it was really well done and kept me fully engaged, and at the edge of my seat, for the entire movie. It was also really brutal start to finish so don’t think I’ll ever need a repeat viewing.

Thought this was brilliant untill I saw Star Wars. Thought the story was really good and thought it was up with Star Trek. As you probably can tell by now I was a sci-fi geek lol. But I was into this in a big way liked the way it followed them to earth. (1 more)
And then followed them around for a bit. And the new Battlestar Galactica where brilliant from beginning to end I have them in my collection and pull them out every once in a while
Loved this when I was a kid

I saw this movie on Netflix and within the first few minutes I was in love with the story and of course, Peter Kavinsky. It was like the perfect teen romance novel. To my delight, it was! A trilogy dedicated to the love story of Lara Jean and Peter. After reading the books, I feared I wouldn’t love the movie anymore. That’s not the case though. The movie was true to the quirkiness of the book. I will find pleasure in both rereading the book series and rewatching the movie!

OMG she did it again!? I have no idea where Aleatha gets her ideas for stories from buy my god does she give a good mindf^#ck!? This book was all I expected it to be and more... Victoria holds her own in this sick and twisted situation she has been pretty much born into and makes it out with her head held high. Had no idea where this story was going and I never it saw it coming... Incredible book, as expected.. highly recommended dark read from one of the masters of dark erotica!!

This book was fantastic. I loved the plot. I loved the new characters. And I loved the new relationships formed with previous characters.
Delilah and Kell, I want to end up together. I didn't even acknowledge that I wanted this until the very end when I saw how much they cared about each other.
I loved the development of Rhy as a character as well.
Surprisingly enough, this book was superior to the first.
Towards the end, I could not put this book down for the life of me.
