Great update
I thought this was a very good film and a great remake. It's not entirely scene for scene like some and gives a lot more time to Michael as a young boy and reasons for him to turn evil. Rather than just a madman on the run from the asylum. Although some key scenes are kept and a few are changed slightly for the update, why change what worked so well in the original. Some people will just rate down remakes just for the sake of it, but seriously Halloween might have been scary if you saw it in your teens but today? This builds on what was a great horror classic and adds a few touches, more of a back story, a bit more violent and sexed up a little for todays audience. Whether you have seen the original or not you should check this out.

I couldn't decide whether or not to give this book 3 or 4 stars, so I'm going to give it 3.5 stars.

I thought this was a good read for the most part as I'm a big fan of horror books. I loved that there were a few scary bits in Heart-Shaped Box. I liked the character of Craddock and could actually imagine him to be a real ghost.

Jude, Marybeth and Anna were all believable characters as well.

What I didn't like was the BIG age gap between Jude and the girls he dates. That's just a personal thing though.

I felt that this book was lacking a bit of something although I can't put my finger on it. It's a great idea for a story but there's something else it could've had.

I'd still recommend this book for all fans of the horror genre.

Okay, I will admit, I am not the most knowledgeable individual in the world which is exactly why I decided to read/listen to this book.

ISIS is a scary group that can keep you up at night if you think about it too much. With that said, this was an enlightening book that was filled with great information. I think that anyone who cannot tell the difference between muslims & ISIS should read this book. It will hopefully change your view.

This was probably one of the most dry books I have ever read. If it weren't for it being an audiobook I am sure that I would have put it down. I was bored through a lot of the book but I will say that it was interesting to learn the history of ISIS.

This is definitely dry, but it has a lot of good information.

Who has a projector and super 8 mm tapes??
Sinister- is creppy, scary, terfying and overall a underrated movie. Its also directed by Scott Derrickson.

The plot: True-crime writer Ellison Oswald (Ethan Hawke) is in a slump; he hasn't had a best seller in more than 10 years and is becoming increasingly desperate for a hit. So, when he discovers the existence of a snuff film showing the deaths of a family, he vows to solve the mystery. He moves his own family into the victims' home and gets to work. However, when old film footage and other clues hint at the presence of a supernatural force, Ellison learns that living in the house may be fatal.

Ethan hawke was really good in this movie. He is a underrated actor.

Sinister- might make you have nightmares at night, but overall its a okay horror movie.

Amazing game
Ok, I have never played this game myself but I have watched it being played. I know that's not quite the same thing but I'll take what I can get. Anyway, not flat out scary but definitely creepy enough to keep even big gamers interested. It has a strong plot with unexpected twists all over the place. Once the game is over there are still so many theories as to what happened because the developers did such an awesome job of layering on just enough facts to get people thinking.
The artwork reminds me of Betty Boop meets Steam Boat Willie (not sure is I should know those references but hey I grew up with oldies lol). Even the music and the way the characters move look like an older cartoon. Can't say anything about the controls but I still find myself in love with this game.

British crime thriller. A highly professional and goal-oriented businessman in the drugs trade finds his well-organised life falling into chaos when he gets mixed up with stolen Ecstasy, Serbian war criminals and a missing heiress. Could he be forced to become something he despises - an actual gangster?

Looks a bit like a Guy Ritchie movie - and not without reason, for Matthew Vaughn produced the early Ritchie films - but the tone is (thankfully) more measured and serious. The plot is nothing very distinctive, although the subtext about Craig's character having to adopt the brutal methods of the people he encounters has some interest. Good performances from a strong cast; Michael Gambon is scary as a gang boss, but it's Daniel Craig's movie. This is apparently the performance that swung Bond for him, but the film deserves to be recognised on its own merits.

Outstanding British psycho-horror movie; if you want to experience an approximation of what it's like to be in the head of someone in the process of going utterly nuts, this is the movie for you. A devout nurse with a troubled past starts a job caring for an abrasive, dying ex-dancer; she believes God has sent her to this place, but when events suggest otherwise, she finds it impossible to accept...

Initially seems like another of those post-horror movies we keep hearing about: lots of ominous atmosphere and creepy intensity, but not much that's explicitly scary to start with (this changes). Powered along by an extraordinary performance from Morfydd Clark, who plays one of the most unsettling movie loons in recent years, but extremely well scripted and directed too. Genuinely gripping and unsettling, with an ending that hits like a hammer. This is one hell of a movie.

Horror-lite yarn that might have benefitted from a 12A
Directed by “Troll Hunter” director André Øvredal, I really enjoyed this one. I’m not a massive fan of ‘slasher’ style horror films. I have no burning desire to be constantly reminded of what the inside of my body looks like. So this turned out to be much-more to my liking than the normal horror flick. It had enough spookiness to make me turn on the lights when I got back home, but not enough to pervade my dreams.
