Roxanne (13 KP) rated Flu (Flu, #1) in Books
Nov 14, 2018
I thought this was an excellent book. A selection of stories that came together as it went along. I got completely hooked just before half way into the book and couldn't put it down. When I started this book I wasn't sure as there are so many Zombie novels out there I thought this one would be nothing new, but i was so wrong. A great read that just kept me asking for more. The story is very descriptive and gruesome but I thought this was great, not recommended for those with a weak stomach. The characters were very interesting and likable and the story kept running at a nice fast pace. Highly recommended for Zombie fans and fans of gore! I would have given this book 5 stars, however I thought the ending was a bit abrupt, it left me feeling like there should have been more and that not everything was really explained, it's like the story has been left open for a sequel...I hope so anyway, if not then the ending is a bit annoying. A part from that this was a great read!

This movie is 2h and 30mins long but that is the perfect amont of time, for this zombie epic.

Awix (3310 KP) rated The Dead Don't Die (2019) in Movies
Jul 20, 2019 (Updated Jul 20, 2019)
Bemusingly inert zombie pastiche/comedy. The good people of Centerville, USA, find themselves besieged when 'polar fracking' shifts the world off its orbit and raises the dead. Is anyone going to make it through the night?
Sounds like a knowing pastiche of B-movie tropes (there indeed appears to be a nod to Plan Nine from Outer Space at one point), and indeed it is, but if this is really a comedy they forgot to add any jokes. There are some amusing moments and the zombie-pocalypse is certainly well staged, but the film seems more concerned with cultivating a baffling, deadpan weirdness than actually telling a coherent story. For instance: Tilda Swinton plays the town's undertaker, a sword-swinging eccentric with a Highland Scots accent. The punchline? Tilda Swinton's character is called Zelda Winston! Oh, my sides. Various other bits of self-aware cleverness also intrude. Characters appear, don't do much, and then exit; Romero is referenced without any new angles being taken on his ideas; there is no conclusion worthy of the name. If the film is trying to send a message about pointlessness and futility, it needn't have taken it quite so much to heart.

Chris Hooker (419 KP) rated Hater (Hater #1) in Books
Jan 12, 2018
[Hater] by [David Moody] was recommended to me by my spouse. Since we have greatly different taste in books I put off reading it. Plus the bloody cover was off putting to be honest. Even though I read end of the world and zombie books graphic violence is usually not my thing but that was not what this book was like at all. Instead it was almost a psychological thriller that left the reader as well as the main character wondering who really were the good and bad guys.

Like a zombie devouring flesh, I devoured this horrifying book. As I read this well-written storyline full of blood, trailing intestines and graphic scenes, I found myself thoroughly immersed in the story; I could hear those terrifying moans and screams that came from the zombies, and I could smell the rotten, decaying scent in the air.
This heart-pounding edge of your seat read will keep you in its bloody grip from beginning to end, and I can't wait to get my hands on the next book.

PyroTheDragon (6 KP) rated the PlayStation 4 version of Resident Evil 7 biohazard in Video Games

This is not Resident Evil.
When I bought this, on a whim with no real research, I though I was getting a zombie game. What I got was not zombies, though it had somewhat of a resident evil feel the game is way off script. Without really giving details I can't explain it any better than this. You remember the Halloween series? Most of the movies followed Mike Meyers and his antics. Except for one somewhere in the middle that had nothing to do with him. That movie is this game.

Stay to the end credits
Just finished watching movie was it the wait of ten years Definitely worth the wait. Loved the sequel loved the first zombieland and the sequel delivers the same humor plus new zombie types. The gangs all back plus new characters like Madison who's my favourite of the characters made me know end. Plus stay to the end credits won't spoil it there's a extra scene that calls back to the first film
