Ready Player Bomb!
I understand certain decisions and changes have to be made when adapting a book for the screen but with this one i just didnt understand or agree with 90% of them. For the most part the changes underminds the actual story the book was telling.
However, trying to be objective the best i can and looking at it just as a movie - i still didnt like it. For me it felt like the structure of the whole move was fractured. Everyone was totally miscast for my liking, leaving all the characters un-charismatic and un-endearing, leaving the story without a heart or a soul. I felt like the exposition was clunky at best, leading to the relationships between characters to either feel forced or not given them enough time to grow naturally, especially the "love interest" story. Also I felt it glossed over some key elements of the plot at the beginning, mainly due to the aforementioned clunky exposition, but also with its eagerness to go straight for throat with high octane action, which although brilliantly staged and choreographed through the camera, left me feeling like it was pointless, due to lack of context or feeling of any real threat. I never really felt like it got any of this right until the final battle in the climax of the film, but by then id given up the films ability to win me back.
Add to that the changes/difference from the book that failed to make any sense to me, or understand why they choose that direction to take - my frustration only grows and grows. The only real big change that i liked was the car race at the beginning which does not feature at all in the book...because it would be visually more exciting than what was actually written in the book. Some of the changes i felt like they were taking the safe option and lacked the balls of the book, such as the film choosing to let some character(s) not die, and pretty much totally ignoring the social commentary the book was making about big corporations, media influences, economic status of the world etc..... all things that i felt made the book as popular as it is in the first place. Popular enough that Spielberg wanted to turn it into a major motion picture.

A horrific remake
Gonna keep this short and sweet.An atrocious remake of a half decent horror novel.
This film had everything..Terrible acting,characters who you just couldn't care for,the changing of which child was killed off and that absolute farcical of an ending.
Please avoid this film at all costs.Watch the original or read the book instead.

This is definitely not a read for people who have a delicate stomach or are repulsed by graphic and descriptive reads.
I myself loved the fact that this book really turned my stomach and the horrific story line blew away all rational thinking. This author found the darkest recesses of his mind and invited us in for an exclusive look.
My only con with Frank Made Lunch is that it is in need of editing but even that didn't stop me from giving it the rating that I felt it deserved.
This is the BEST horror book I've read this year and trust me...... you WANT to read this. I HIGHLY recommend you read this book and would love this made into a movie. I'll end this review by saying that Frank will remain inside my mind for many years to come.

The start of a good friendship
A suicidal cop Martian Riggs is paired with long time cop Roger Murtaugh (Glover) is this buddy cop movie where they are tasked in finding out who is running a drug ring and breaking it up. Shadow Company lead by Mr Joshua (Busey) is brining Heroine into the country via it's contacts in east Asia. With Riggs crazy antics and Murtaughs need to play it by the book these two mix like oil and vinegar. They have to learn to trust one another so they both can live through this case.

I don't know how to start. I assume that everything I say will make the special effect of this book to disappear. There's one thing I learned from this book. We all have to die. It's the way it is. We can't change our Judgment Day. But we can define all our days before that day. The girl, Heizel, made me think about what it looks like to be diagnosed with cancer. I can't imagine it. She made me realize how lucky I am to be 17 and to be perfectly fine. It also made me think and not to forget that it all can actually change. As the teacher in the movie ,,Dead Poets Society'' said: Carpe diem - Seize the day. I realized I have to spend everyday like it is my last. But not to try to be remembered by all the people, but to be loved by the people that I also love. This is not a perfect Hollywood love story ok.. This is a reality show, it's exactly described as it is - painful and awful life. The one we all have to live...

Lack of Character Motivations
A Disappointing Sequel

You can look at this movie from two different perspectives. If you choose to see it as a dumb, switch-your-brain-off spy movie and are only going for the batshit insane action scenes, then you will have a good time. If you are looking for a decent comic book movie that serves as a sequel to the first movie and sets up a potential future franchise, then you will probably leave feeling similar to how I did, pretty disappointed.
The first movie was released with no hype behind it and for most people was a pleasant surprise. This film has a lot more to live up to and unfortunately it doesn't quite get there. Although the movie does feel like a sequel, it's not the worst sequel I've ever seen and it's not the worst sequel released this year.
Julianne Moore plays the antagonist in the movie and whilst her motivations for what she was doing were questionable, you could tell she was having fun with the character and it was a fun performance to watch. The action scenes were as fast paced and as fun as you would want them to be and although they do feel cartoony, there are a few crazy set pieces that you can’t help but grin at.
This movie also introduces the Statesman, an American version of the Kingsman who work out of a whisky factory rather than a tailor’s shop. Jeff Bridges and Halle Berry don’t get much screen time, which is fine, but Channing Tatum is hardly in the movie at all, despite appearing on a lot of the marketing for the film. I think he is onscreen in Hateful Eight for longer than he is in this.
Ok, spoiler time. If you haven’t seen the movie yet, don’t read on past this point. I mean if you have seen any of the trailers for the movie then you already know that they have brought Colin Firth back from the dead.
The explanation for this is sort of anti-climactic. Essentially, The Statesman have came up with a cure to gunshot wounds to the head and any other fatal wound that you may sustain, the process involves wrapping the wound in a gel strip and then inflating it with two syringes. Sure, you can argue this is a heightened reality where crazy stuff like this is entirely possible, but my problem with it, is that it immediately lowers all of the stakes. If anyone can be brought back from the dead, then how is there any peril left for the characters in the franchise?
After this whole revelation, they kill off Merlin, the character played by Mark Strong. His death is really pathetic and something that could have easily been avoided. Eggsy accidentally steps on a landmine, (even though they specifically point out that they are using a minesweeper,) then Merlin sprays the mine with a freeze gel so that Eggsy can step off of the mine and Merlin takes his place, then he distracts some guards and gets blown up. What I’m left wondering is the limit of what can be fixed with the regeneration strip. Surely if a bullet to the head can be walked off, then getting blown up by a landmine is fair game? Could they not have tried piecing him together like a jigsaw a wrapping him in the magic gel strips? I guess they could bring him back in the next movie and I’m sure if they do, we will know when the first trailer for Kingsman 3 is released.
Overall this isn’t a bad movie, it’s just disappointing. There are some entertaining action scenes, but rubbish dialogue and ridiculous plot elements make this inferior to the first Kingsman movie and pretty mediocre overall.
