Read the book
The power behind the book was that it was written from Jack's point of view. The movie completely missed this. Sure, it would be difficult to capture on screen, but without it, it was just plain boring.

I loved the books and I couldn't wait to see the movie. I wasn't disappointed when I did. It was great to be immersed in their word again this time on the big screen.

One to Watch
I was lucky enough to win tickets to this show launch screening and i have to say I'm so grateful to have gone. If your familer with the book you will know normal the characters interact a majority of the time on social network sites however it was the creatively of the production team to change this into the gaming world and it works well. Im normally a stickler for book to screen adaption but this book to screen adaption the difference and choosing to use gaming works in someways i think it actual aids in the premise and story and to get across the dimensions the digital world. It hard to talk about without giving the plot away but the story starts just as Lelia has lost her mum and all about her using the Gaming world to excape real world problems. This is an interesting show and has a great premise its interesting to see avatar characters used in subtle ways to show people humanity rather than using them to show great fight scenes .

The character are all very real and relate-able without a doubt my favorite so far is Jonty Lelia new lodger who is so down to earth funny and lovable. Honestly if your looking for something new and a bit different give this show a shot.

This is my first encounter with this famous author and I was quite pleased with it. When I started reading the book it didn’t make me very excited. To this time I think that it could’ve been at least 150 pages less than it actually was. In my opinion, the beginning was too dragged and the information which actually was necessary could’ve fit in couple chapters. Once Mike actually gets to Sara Laughs then all the fun begins. I liked the characters chosen for this novel, they were realistic and very believable.

The plot was quite layered, and there were multiple stories unfolding in this book, that kept me intrigued. The book is perfect for a big screen, and if the right crew would’ve worked on it could be an amazing thriller. I had an opportunity to see the screen making with Pierce Brosnan and it didn’t make me very happy. I loved Mr King’s writing style and little clues of what will happen. So, overall, I had a slow beginning with this book but once I got to the fun bit I couldn’t put it away. I will definitely indulge myself into more of Mr King’s writing.

A fun musing
It finally arrived. I had been waiting for this to come since winning it. The Witt & Wisdom of Tyrion Lannister is exactly what it says on the cover.
Every quote that Tyrion let rip and secured his character as one of the best to ever be read in book or seen on screen is here.
They are all grouped in to chapters from The art of war to religion and even romance as only Tyrion could get away with saying.
This book takes about 15 minutes to get through but for any fan of Game of Thrones it is a great edition to a collection.
Well worth picking up a copy.

Ready Player One (2018)

As I’ve said before, I’m obsessed with Ready Player One. That said the movie isn’t the greatest piece. It also fails to muster the same nostalgic feeling I got when reading the book (no debate on book over movie please, I’ve had that conversation) so I am less vested in the on screen characters. That said, the characterisation of some key characters is good enough to keep me coming back for more, shame some of the key scenes never got shot. FYI Wil Wheaton reads the audiobook and that’s always a good deal.

Garbage
After reading the book and finding out the writer was involved with the screen play, I was excited to see this film. I regretted purchasing a ticket for this movie after the first 15 minutes. Both the book and movie follow a teen named Wade. They both take place in a dystopian style story. However the movie portrays Wade as a one dimensional character, giving his best thoughts, words, and feelings to other characters. Wade in the book was a well rounded character who was smart, witty, and at times sarcastic. Reading the book you can believe that Wade has the ability to beat the game he’s playing for control of the oasis. In the movie he is girl obsessed and just not the character I followed through the oasis to win the game. If you haven’t read the book, or only want to check out the graphics, then this movie is for you. If you loved the book, as I did, just keep the story in your imagination and skip the movie.

Simply Epic!
After first appearing in the standalone Wolverine film, much to fans ire, he has been given another shot to make right from the first failed attempt at bringing the character to the big screen. Action packed with plenty of fourth wall breakage you can't go wrong! Sorry kids, this is a comic book film for us adults.

The Hunger Games meets Harry Potter in this glorious book about what someone would do to save themselves and others. Multiple POV make it a unique story delving deeper into each person's personal story as well as together.
I thoroughly enjoyed the magic and they way it had to be sung. The fact that society knows about magic and those who are legacies have a shoe in to keep their magic was realistic. I just want to see this world come alive on a big screen!
