Hurray! I finally get to chime in on a book for the book club! Full time work and school is putting such a dampener on my social life!

I remember being suitably impressed with this one when we reviewed it for the podcast last year. Its a fun read, a relatively quick read, and combines the best elements of scary Who to make it the perfect Halloween offering. Enjoy everyone!

I really enjoyed this film I thought it was well directed and acted it wasn't "scary" in the traditional horror movie sense but this one left you feeling tense and uncomfortable throughout which is a refreshing change from your typical cheap jump scare horror the use of dark comedy is also great it helps to alleviate the tenseness but only ever so briefly before throwing you right back into it

All bets are off in the trilogy
A good 3rd act but somehow considerably weaker than the other films. This one is set around the set of Stab 2, the film within a film. It's not quite as witty, scary or funny as the first two, but still a decent entry.

Disappointing
What a dull and uneventful film this turned out to be. I had hopes when I saw the trailer and saw Natalie Dormer was the lead character. It felt like a poor relation to the Grudge. It's not scary at all and the story will make you think is that it? When the credits roll. They even cut scenes from the film that were in the trailer.

There are some books that you read that make you feel like you are watching a movie. There are others that make you feel you are right there a part of the action. The Yellow Birds makes you feel like you are there and it's a scary place to be.
I now have an even greater appreciation of all that our service men and women do to protect our country.

I found myself surprised so many times in this book. I enjoyed the characters so much.. and they were amusing and funny. These are a collection of short horror stories but honestly they amused me so much I didn't feel as if it was scary but then something would happen and I'd think.. oh.. theres the horror lol. it was awesome and im glad i got to review it

“Romance at short notice was her specialty.”

This was not what I was expecting. This appears on a list called "50 of the scariest short stories of all time" and this isn't' scary, it's a comedy. My rating is probably swayed because I was expecting something completely different to what I got.

Never mind, it was only 6 pages to read and it was still enjoyable.

Unique story, excellent actors, a plot that keeps you interested. (0 more)
Original Tim Curry Pennywise evoked nightmares. This Pennywise was very laughable, and not scary at all. Don't get me wrong, I would not want to meet him in a deserted place, but he just did not create fear. (0 more)
Interesting remastering of a genius story
Excellent concept. I have hopes for the 2nd upcoming part to stay with the excellent storytelling.

A satirical look at the events surrounding the death of Stalin
I enjoyed this satirical look at the events surrounding the death of Stalin in 1953. It was superbly acted especially by Steve Buscemi and Jason Isaacs, both made me laugh at many places I probably shouldn't have been laughing. The scary part is that most of the more unbelievable parts of this film very likely happened in real life.

I could not finish this book. I hated everyone except the dog. I found the casual talk of rape and pedophilia disgusting. Even the consensual sex acts often started with the protagonist peeping on an unknowing female lead. I understand that it is horror but it wasn't scary to me. There was no suspense, no chills, no one I wanted to remain unscathed from the mysteries of the canyon.
