Deadpool (2016)
Deadpool (2016)
2016 | Action, Comedy, Sci-Fi
This film broke history with being one of the first superhero movies marketed to adults only. The marketing campaign was one of the best I had ever seen for a movie, it truly made me want to go to the theaters. I was not disappointed once I did! (0 more)
The merc with a mouth!
Deadpool AKA Wade Wilson is one of the best-written antiheroes there is. He is not only comedic, harsh, crude, and suffers from a case of should I do the right thing, but he is also one of those characters you cannot help to love in a dysfunctional manner. The storyline follows pretty close with his original story from the comics. There are plenty of fight scenes, love scenes, and plenty of scenes of Deadpool being his crass, foul mouth self.

Overall the film is great for anyone looking to find a superhero film that is not like any other out there.

Emma Watson, Dan Stevens and an army of all-star voices do justice to animated landmark – even if some magic is M.I.A.

Except:

What Beauty and the Beast rises or falls on is the love story, and here, allowed to slow down to let in intimate moments, the movie catches fire. Hobbled by a motion capture process that forced him to walk on stilts and wear a huge muscle suit covered in Lycra, Stevens goes beyond the call of family-musical duty to give us a flawed human being instead of a special effect; his is a Beast worth saving. Those are his eyes gazing down with passion at Watson's Beauty, his voice choked with genuine ardor. And suddenly, in a movie built on the bones of what preceded it, there is something there that wasn't there before. I'd call that an exhilarating gift.

The best thing Marvel has done yet is hire James Gunn to direct the Guardians of the Galaxy series. He has such a spectacular vision for the Guardians and their far-flung place in the MCU. He keeps the action and laughs rolling throughout this second volume of the series, and I honestly can't decide which of the two I like more. These movies have made instant pop-culture icons out of lesser known comic book heroes, and for good reason. The characters are all well written, with completely disparate personalities that lead them to interact with each other in often hilarious ways. Not only that, but they are all completely badass. It's going to be a real treat to see this ragtag group of the galaxy's biggest assholes go toe-to-toe with Thanos alongside the rest of the MCU heroes in Infinity War.

Exciting

A thrillride all the way through
I have no idea why this movie opened to mixed reviews, as it is actually my favourite of the three reboot Star Trek Movies. All of the characters are great, the chemistry that is seen between the cast members due to the circumstances of the plot is fun and well written, the movie is exciting and very well directed by Justin Lin. The stakes are high and the villain is complex and a truly frightening threat. The special effects are beautiful, the tone and the soundtrack are refreshing and the script is well written. I came out of this one having enjoyed it way more than I thought I would going in. Also, it is full of Easter eggs and call backs for long time Trekkies, while also being easily accessible to anyone that isn’t familiar with the franchise.

Best sequel ever made
Take what you know know about sequels and throw it away. A rareity happens in this film when the second movie is better than it's orginal and that is hard to do when the first movie is one of the best movies ever.

The continuation of the Corleone family out in vegas trying to set their family up for ever. We also get a glimpse of the life of Vito Corleone when he first came to this country. The tie ins of these two stories make this one of the most studied sequels of all time. We see the now older Michael as head of the family and the young Vito getting his feet together. It is kind of like watching MIchael follow in Vito's steps the whole way through. Of course there is tradgey with family involved especially in betrayal and the loss of close friends. A must see

They do make a third to close out the story but eh

The friendships, the movie was creepy and disturbing. The way Pennywise moved and spoke. Felt very Stranger Things inspired. (0 more)
Wasn't as scary as I thought it would have been. (0 more)
I didn't want it to end
I love Horror so I was really excited for this to come out. I didn'y really know what to expect as I haven't watched the original 'IT' yet, or read the book by Stephen King, but I knew the basics of what this movie was about.
I loved the way this film makes you feel and the style of it, it's not like all other horror movies out there. There is a bit of a Stranger Things vibe to it, which I loved.
I absolutely adored Pennywise in this remake, I loved the way he moved his body, it added to the creepyness of the film.
I found it more creepy and a bit disturbing than I did scary, there was one jump scare that got me though.

You mess with the sharks, the sharks mess with you.

If you like shark attack movies, you're going to love this one. The graphics are great for its time. The plot is quite engaging, as you understand why they did what they did and agree that you would have done the same thing if you were looking for a cure for degenerative brain disease. L.L. Cool J adds a hot simmer to the character exchanges and the ending is poetic justice for the head scientist, getting eaten by her own creation. My single and only let down from this movie was that I wish there had been more incidences of the sharks using their new intelligence together as a team. Long story short: this movie isn't going to win any emmys/oscars/etc., but it will satisfy your hunger for a bloody shark movie with a legitimate plot.

Abducted in Plain Sight
I sat down on Friday night and watched this documentary. From a dubious position, my wife wanted to watch it and i had doubts.
Was so good. Obviously its not everyones cup of tea but the way the story pans out is amazing. And if it wasnt true story it would be too far-fetched to make up a story like this.
I would seriously recommend this to anybody that likes true life crime movies and programmes.
I feel so sorry for this family and i would never spoiler any film as it would ruin and alter the vision experience you recieve

Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (2018)
Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (2018)
2018 | Action, Animation, Sci-Fi
You may have heard that Spider-Man: Into the Spiderverse is a cinematic marvel, a first-of-its-kind blockbuster that innovates on animated styles in incredible fashion. Not only does it do a bunch of crazy things that all work and look amazing, but a lot of it has been documented on Twitter. Just look at this: https://twitter.com/NickTyson/status/1076942124921151488

You can find a lot of cool stuff on the twitter of animator Nick Kondo, and even the composer Daniel Pemberton has written threads on how the movie was made, and that’s awesome. While watching the movie I had a thought strike me that “This kind of story could literally only be told in animation.” And everything it does is finely-crafted work, it makes you care about the characters just as much as the people making the movie did. We can all cross our fingers that it means we’ll be seeing more animated movies in the years to come.

Great Adventure
I love the Kingdom Hearts series because it offered great characters and fantastic worlds from so many favorite Disney movies. I was quite excited for Kingdom Hearts III when it finally arrived. The combat is definitely better here and moves more fluidly. The attraction attacks are a lot of fun, but a couple aren't so great. I did have some favorites though and it was always a blast to use them. The addition of mini games definitely adds to the fun of the game. The story itself is interesting with familiar characters and great nods to previous Kingdom Hearts games. I have never liked the gummi ship because the controls for it were always awful. The gummi ship controls are a little better here, but they're still not great. The game is a bit short, but it's still a great game with amazing graphics and fun gameplay making it worth the wait.
